Job Description

The Associate Director, PSEQ Strategic Learning is responsible for the learning programs that support effective operations and AbbVie ways of working in the Pharmacovigilance, Safety, Epidemiology, and Quality global organization. The Associate Director, PSEQ Strategic Learning leads, designs, develops, and executes the learning needs analysis, learning design, course development, implementation, and measurement of learning programs and associated assets.  These learning assets help to ensure all PSEQ personnel are empowered and confident to execute PSEQ processes and the AbbVie Ways of Working related to their roles.           

Responsibilities:

 

•Responsible for developing and maintaining standard learning processes and portfolio of assets executed within all applicable AbbVie policy and procedures.

•Demonstrate leadership within the PSEQ Strategic Learning team and department manager to align and execute strategic priorities in a timely, collaborative, and effective manner.

•Collaborate with PSEQ Leadership, to develop and deliver effective learning and services to diverse cultures and multiple international locations.

•Responsible for innovative, interactive, cutting edge, learning and course development, including course branding, delivery, storage, and maintenance of all PSEQ Learning assets.

•Provide leadership for the overall administration and on-time project management, tracking, and evaluation of learning for the organization using available digital tools and platforms

•Employ advanced learning solutions across the organization that reduce siloed, specific learning needs but rather, employ learning solutions that will address cross functional learning needs and gaps that may be shared across functions.

•Critical, strategic solutionist skilled at developing and launching, cost effective, repeatable, and timely learning solutions for the purpose of driving continuous improvement.   

•Implementation and maintenance of the AbbVie internal PSEQ Strategic operating model and process

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

•Bachelor’s Degree (Master’s degree preferred) and extensive Instructional design and adult education or equivalent experience required

•Proficient or advanced in developing various learning and communication deliverables (including e-learning, workshop materials, graphics, animations, videos, etc.)

•Current skills using innovative learning approaches and technologies including adult learning research, performance consulting, knowledge and program management.  

•Strong leadership skills and presentations skills; willing to challenge the status quo and do things differently

•Strong active listening interpersonal, and relationship building skills

• Experience interacting with and influencing all levels of management to develop strategies, launch ideas, and execute action plans.

• Supervisory/leadership experience managing multiple projects, exhibiting a high level of flexibility with competing priority projects and timeline constraints.

  • The compensation range described below is the range of possible base pay compensation that the Company believes in good faith it will pay for this role at the time of this posting based on the job grade for this position. Individual compensation paid within this range will depend on many factors including geographic location, and we may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future.​

  • This job is eligible to participate in our short-term incentive programs. ​
