Director Contracting for Strategic Accounts & New Business - Allergan Aesthetics

(Field Marketing)

Position Overview:

As the Director of Contracting for Strategic Accounts & New Business, you will play a pivotal role as a strategic leader within Allergan Aesthetics. Your primary responsibility is to contract our largest volume and most complicated customer accounts in support of the Strategic Accounts Sales Team.  Additionally, you will be instrumental in identifying and contracting new and emerging business models and opportunities for Allergan Aesthetics. This includes assessing non-traditional emerging accounts for their current and future business potential and facilitating the transition of existing accounts to contract pricing.  You will craft comprehensive pricing and onboarding plans for each account, ensuring the realization of contract benefits while enhancing customer value. Your expertise in understanding customer segments, distribution channels, Allergan Aesthetics internal process and policies will be critical in maintaining consistency in pricing across the Strategic Accounts business vertical.

Key Responsibilities:

Maintain Customer Focus:

  • Analyze and prioritize contracting execution across various business channels, including MedSpa, Specialty Rollups, Private Equity, Training Organizations, GPOs, and Hospital Groups. Enabling cross-functional teams to swiftly grasp partnership opportunities and limitations.
  • Stay updated on the evolving private equity business model, including its strategic goals and objectives.
  • Cultivate a network of trust-based relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, focusing on value co-creation, co-innovation, and comprehensive contract lifecycle management.
  • Collaborate closely with internal and field teams to ensure a smooth experience for both current and potential customers.
  • Position Allergan Aesthetics as the value based and preferred partner for growth in the U.S. aesthetics market.

Maintain Strategic Focus:

  • Engage in strategic decision-making in a case by case account based process. This includes close collaboration with compliance, legal, finance, pricing, contracting, and Strategic field team members to ensure success.
  • Provide training and coaching support for the strategic account model across the broader organization.
  • Collaborate with the corporate Strategic Account team to ensure synergy between account plans and contract terms, accelerating account growth and opportunities for our products.
  • Educate and coordinate with the Strategic team leaders on ongoing.

Act as a Leader when Partnering:

  • As the corporate liaison, build and nurture strong trust-based relationships with internal and external stakeholders, sponsors, and supporters by understanding their priorities and engaging positively to enhance Allergan Aesthetics' overall relationship and credibility.
  • Collaboratively engage with account stakeholders, sponsors, and supporters, facilitating the appropriate inclusion of Allergan Aesthetics' cross-functional team members to understand their priorities and pursue new opportunities.
  • Develop and expand a network of stakeholder relationships within Allergan Aesthetics and AbbVie by aligning the cross-functional team with mutually determined goals and objectives.
  • Lead the cross-functional team in developing and communicating effective strategies based on compelling account-specific value propositions, resulting in new opportunities with key/strategic accounts.

Launch Effective Contract/Pricing Models:

  • Collaborate with both field and corporate teams to develop strategic pricing models, terms of contract agreements, and overall relationship management to maximize the lifetime value of agreements in support of Strategic sales activities.
  • Manage all facets of the contract life cycle, including Opportunity Evaluation, Offer Development, Negotiations, Alignment, and Contract Performance throughout the contract's duration.
  • Assist with Field Negotiations for existing contracts and provide support and segregation of duties for field negotiations.
  • Serve as the point of contact for Contract Negotiations.

Qualifications

Qualifications (Minimum Requirements):

  • BS/BA required, MBA preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience in cross-functional team management, project management, operations management, and/or commercial execution.
  • Brand management experience a plus.  Experience in Medical Aesthetics a plus.
  • Proven experience working in complex environments with a track record of meeting and exceeding commercial targets.
  • Presentation skills across a variety of organization levels and disciplines, including senior executives.
  • Strong collaboration/relationship-building skills and the ability to engage across multiple functions.
  • Strong analytical skills, including the development of financial forecast models, demand plan models, and other forecast models that may be required.
  • Strong communication skills required to gain internal support for strategic and tactical initiatives, and the ability to gain group consensus in a team environment that values industry knowledge, analytics, and data-based decisions.
  • Comfort in a rapidly changing environment with competing and shifting priorities.
  • Ability to travel up to 50%. Overnight travel may be required.
