Acentra seeks a Clinical Educator to join our growing team. 

Job Summary:

As a Clinical Educator, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing the quality of care for individuals with intellectual disabilities and autism (ID/A). You will be instrumental in supporting caregivers and enhancing the ID support system through targeted educational programs, data collection, and the proactive identification of healthcare concerns. Your expertise will also extend to the dissemination of critical information and providing specialized technical assistance. This position is designed to empower caregivers with the necessary tools and knowledge to optimize care outcomes and foster an environment of continuous improvement in the support of those with ID/A.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop, revise, and deliver targeted training programs designed to enhance the understanding and skills of customers in promoting the health and welfare of individuals with intellectual disabilities and autism (ID/A).
  • Work closely with support teams to enhance outcomes related to systemic issues, improve the quality of life for people facing challenges, and assist in the development and refinement of relevant policies.
  • Provide evidence-based strategies, best practices, and tools to elevate the skills and capabilities of community service systems and healthcare providers. This includes education, the dissemination of pivotal information, and consultation to drive meaningful improvements.
  • Maintain and analyze essential data to assess productivity and effectiveness. Generate and provide comprehensive reports to stakeholders that inform decision-making and strategy adjustments.
  • Demonstrate a thorough understanding of and compliance with the scope and expectations of the position, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and regulations.
  • Actively participate in meetings with stakeholders as required, representing the educational initiatives and contributing to collaborative discussions.
  • The list of accountabilities is not intended to be all-inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties that management may deem necessary.

Required Qualifications/Experience:

  • An active and unrestricted RN (Registered Nurse) license in the state of Pennsylvania required.
  • A minimum of 2 - 3 years’ experience in medical-surgical nursing or community health nursing for candidates holding a nursing license.
  • Proven experience working with individuals with disabilities or within programs designed to support this demographic.
  • In-depth knowledge of best practices and positive support principles for individuals with intellectual disabilities and autism (ID/A).
  • Advanced critical thinking skills, with a proven ability to interpret data and leverage knowledge acquired through education and professional experiences.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, complemented by strong interpersonal, organizational, and time management skills with a focus on superior customer service.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, encompassing strong capabilities in creating and managing documents, spreadsheets, and presentations.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • This role may require occasional travel within the Health Care Quality Unit (HCQU) service area to meet educational and support needs.

Compensation

The compensation for this role is $57,527.00 base salary.

Based on our compensation program, an applicant’s position placement in the pay range will depend on various considerations, such as years of applicable experience and skill level.
