Position Overview:

As the Vice President of Strategic Pricing, you will lead with strategic vision and expert management, driving continuous improvement within our pricing and estimating team. This hands-on data-driven pricing leader is essential for developing and executing innovative, long-term pricing strategies that enhance profitability while complying with state and federal regulations.

By collaborating across departments and leveraging large datasets, the VP ensures our pricing models are competitive, support comprehensive solutions, and align with strategic company goals. Your leadership will enhance our market position and address the evolving needs of our clients, solidifying our competitive edge in the industry.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development of complex cost models and narratives in response to requests for proposals, leading pricing reviews, and financial discussions with senior management regarding opportunities, risks, and profitability.
  • Oversee the estimating process to ensure accurate and competitive pricing models; ensure that cost models precisely reflect the delivery costs for each department while accurately capturing the cash needed for capital investments.
  • Design processes, set estimation metrics, and establish governance to create and improve pricing strategies across multiple lines of business.
  • Collaborate with operations, sales, product development, finance, legal, compliance, and human resources (talent acquisition) teams to design pricing models that support all our solutions.
  • Manage and mentor the pricing and estimating team, fostering an environment of continuous improvement.
  • Provide executive-level presentations on deal pricing, risks, opportunities, and operational delivery strategy.
  • Ensure compliance with internal estimating systems, disclosure statements, proposal requirements, and government regulation
  • This role may require travel approximately 20% to 25% of the time.

The list of accountabilities is not intended to be all-inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties that management may deem necessary.

Required Qualifications/Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or a related field; an MBA or similar advanced degree is preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of demonstrated success in leading pricing and estimating within a professional services and technology solutions government contractor environment.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in Pricing and Estimating for Federal Government RFPs.
  • Extensive experience in pricing technology solutions, including SaaS, COTS, Custom Solutions, and take-over projects.
  • Expertise in Federal Government Contracting Regulations, including the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS), and Cost Accounting Standards (CAS), along with contract terms and conditions, and proposal financials.
  • Strong leadership skills with a successful track record of working across functional areas.
  • Proven ability to drive strategic pricing initiatives.
  • A proactive approach, with a strong bias for taking projects from concept to execution.
  • Preferred experience in the Healthcare and Technology industry.
  • Demonstrated experience in building or leveraging Licensing models.
  • Must have experience in developing competitive pricing strategies for various contract types, including Cost Plus, Time and Materials (T&M), Firm-Fixed-Price (FFP), Per Member Per Month (PMPM), and unit-based contracts.
  • Proven ability to partner with small and disadvantaged businesses.
  • Experience in integrating Pricing Strategies during Mergers and Acquisitions.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to understand large datasets and develop models to optimize pricing.

Compensation

The compensation for this role is $195,000 to $220,000 base salary

Based on our compensation program, an applicant’s position placement in the pay range will depend on various considerations, such as years of applicable experience and skill level.
