Aledade is actively recruiting a Practice Payments Accounting Manager to oversee and review the accounting for payments to our partner practices. The Supervisor will be responsible for reviewing and approving the senior accountant’s work in calculating and preparing all distributions made to our partner practices, ensuring the amounts paid are in accordance with the participation agreements. The ideal candidate is able to work independently, in an organized manner, is fluent with U.S. GAAP, demonstrates excellent critical thinking skills and is technologically savvy.
We are flexible with respect to geographic location, and the ideal candidate will be comfortable working remotely/work from home within the US or from our offices in Durham, NC; New York, NY; Austin, TX; or Bethesda, MD.
\n- Manage the accounting process for practice participation agreements, including tracking and aggregating practice share rate at the business unit level.
- Review monthly practice portion calculations and estimates to ensure accuracy with estimated revenue calculations and final results. Oversee and review monthly reconciliations prepared by the Senior Accountants. Liaise with the Contracts Manager to ensure correct amounts are advanced and withheld from practice payments.
- Partner with internal business partners to determine accounting requirements for recording practice portion expenses. Communicate with internal and external stakeholders regarding the receipt of payment, calculation of practice shares and timings of payments.
- Assist in documentation of practice portion accounting processes and internal controls. Assist Contracts Manager with the implementation and maintenance of contract management system
- Liaise with external Audit requests as needed including reviewing support prepared by the senior accountant.
- A degree in Finance or Accounting and/or CPA
- 6+ years of work experience, preferably with experience supporting public companies.
- 4+ years of related experience working in the healthcare industry (i.e., health plan, hospital, government, management consulting, think tank) with a proven track record of successfully managing projects and interfacing with internal or external stakeholders
- 1+ years of mentoring and training junior members
- Strong technical and analytical skills
- Database and ERP management skills
- Netsuite experience preferred.
- Deep understanding and expertise with excel and/or google sheets to enable the calculation and distribution of incentive payments.
- A strong work ethic and the ability to adapt to rapid business changes that accompanies a high growth environment.
- Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills and a demonstrated ability to work cross functionality at various levels within a company, as well as with external auditors.
- Sitting for prolonged periods of time. Extensive use of computers and keyboard.
