We are seeking a motivated and experienced Data Engineer to join our team, contributing to the development of a sophisticated compensation calculation system for a client in the Healthcare industry. This role involves leveraging a rules-based approach to integrate diverse data inputs and requires a strong foundation in both traditional and modern database technologies.
\n- Develop and implement a rules-based engine using SQL Server or Snowflake. You will be responsible for integrating various data inputs and ensuring the system's reliability and accuracy.
- Build robust and scalable schema models to support rule-based systems. You will ensure that data models are optimized for performance and can handle large volumes of data.
- Write complex SQL queries and stored procedures to support data pipelines. You will be expected to demonstrate strong SQL skills, including the ability to optimize and troubleshoot queries.
- Utilize scripting languages such as Python to automate data processing tasks and improve workflow efficiency.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate data from multiple sources, ensuring that data is consistent, accurate, and available for use.
- Monitor system performance and implement necessary optimizations to maintain high efficiency and reliability
- Proficiency in SQL Server or Snowflake is required, with a strong understanding of traditional database technologies and modern data warehouse platforms.
- Exceptional SQL skills, including the ability to write, optimize, and troubleshoot complex queries and stored procedures
- Solid understanding of data engineering principles, including data modeling, data integration, and pipeline development.
- Experience with scripting languages (e.g. Python) to support data processing and automation tasks
- Ability to design and implement scalable schema models that support the integration and processing of data in rule-based systems.
- Previous experience in cloud-based environments on Azure.
- Knowledge of Agile and SDLC concepts, practices, and techniques.
- Proactive analytical attitude, strong sense of self-motivation, organization and attention to detail.
- Strong English communication skills, both written and spoken.
- Experience with one or more cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud
- Expertise with modern cloud data warehouse solutions such as Snowflake, Databricks, AWS Redshift etc.
- Understanding of data governance and data management best practices.
- Experience building ML models using ML frameworks and libraries (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-Learn)
