This is a REMOTE WORK role, but hiring Arizona based candidates only; our local hardware/data Center is based out of AZ, and we may require Infrastructure team physically at our office sometimes.
About:
This role will be a part of the infrastructure team that owns the IT, Platform (network/server/data center facilities) and Operations, reporting to the Manager of Infrastructure Engineering
Team Size: 10 comprised of 7 infrastructure (network, systems, infra) and 3 DevOps members
--> This role will be primarily responsible for patching across Laptops/Desktops and Server Infrastructure using a variety of operating systems including Windows, and Mac
--> Key duties will be to perform OS and 3rd party patching as required to maintain defined vulnerability service level agreements.
--> Provide reporting and audit evidence as required.
--> Focus on patching automation across the platforms.
- Support in actively managing and maintaining Windows Server environments within VMware vSphere 7, ensuring optimal virtualization performance and resource utilization.
- Develop and execute PowerShell/Bash/Shell scripts for Windows Server, Mac & PC configurations
- Collaborate with application owners, cross-functional teams, and vendors to implement on-premises application updates, patches, and enhancements, minimizing potential disruptions.
- Investigate and remediate identified vulnerabilities utilizing Qualys and Splunk.
- Manage the current patch process of Windows servers using WSUS and ManageEngine, and work on migrations on SCCM (System Center Configuration Manager)
- Test and deploy patches in a non-production environment prior to deployment in production.
- Build automated patching configurations using JAMF and ManageEngine for all Macs, PCs and Windows Servers.
- Adhere to ITIL change control management rules and SLA standards regarding vulnerability management.
- Troubleshoot hardware and software issues as they arise during patching ensuring resolutions are documented.
- Create and maintain reports for patch compliance and system audit data.
- Adherence to policies, processes, and procedures within your areas of responsibility.
- Assistance with execution of projects related to areas of responsibility.
- Individual must interact extensively with all levels of management, business, and IT, and is required to act in a professional and confident manner.
- Minimum High School Diploma/GED and 2 years of progressive experience in Patching Management with demonstrable experience in Microsoft Windows and Apple Mac OSX operating systems, Microsoft Windows Server
- Strong understanding of standard security patching best practices
- Working knowledge and experience with: Microsoft Configuration Manager, ManageEngine or similar product
- Knowledge of PCI Remediation and various audit requirements.
- Ability to effectively troubleshoot issues with patching.
- Ability to use various scripting languages such as PowerShell, BASH/Shell and others.
- Ability to efficiently prioritize and organize competing work demands with little oversight.
- Self-motivator possessing a high sense of urgency and a high level of integrity.
- Strong customer service skills to deliver quality results in a demanding environment.
- Able to work well under pressure and within short time constraints.
- Excellent documentation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Associates or Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, related field
- Automation experiences
- Experience with disaster recovery contingencies, as well as business continuity when experiencing server-related issues
- Functional knowledge of system and software deployment and packaging.
- Functional knowledge of system monitoring and error remediation.
- Functional knowledge of patch and vulnerability management.

Work Environment & Physical Demands
AIP is a remote-first company, however our US based roles are open to in-office or flex work if you live in a city with a physical office location. This role has the opportunity to operate 100% virtually from your US based home office. We primarily collaborate with our US colleagues through virtual meetings (Zoom), email, and Slack. In this role, you will have to operate a laptop computer (PC or Mac available), computer software platforms, and other office productivity machinery, as necessary. Due to the nature of this role, you must be able to remain stationary for extended periods and must be able to observe and interpret written and/or verbal communication.
