Team, overall scope, and ideal candidate:
Our small and highly collaborative UX team is on the lookout for a passionate Product Designer, eager to work on new ways to educate our customers about identity protection, simplify our application experience, and create meaningful opportunities for additional engagement.
As a valued member of our team, the Product Designer will deliver intuitive and accessible design solutions for our identity protection products.
Our ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in user-centered design principles, with a knack for identifying pain points and proposing thoughtful solutions. They thrive in a collaborative environment, where collective creativity fuels an innovative approach to design, drawing from diverse perspectives to inspire continual growth. Familiarity with information architecture and user research methodologies would complement our team’s skills. Experience in an industry where data security and privacy are paramount would benefit the unique challenges of this role.
\n- Understand user workflows and pain points, and produce, test, and iterate on high quality designs that solve user needs and business requirements
- Apply the fundamentals of design to your work, translating functions and features into good UI and UX
- Produce designs and deliverables that illustrate optimal user experiences and interactions, which may include mockups, storyboards, flows, wireframes, prototypes, or other design artifacts
- Solicit and gather feedback to inform design decisions before shipping
- Collaborate closely and constructively with teammates, product management, and development, to efficiently iterate and deliver compelling solutions
- Communicate design concepts, rationale, and recommendations effectively throughout the design process and document design decisions for future reference when necessary
- Champion user research activities to better understand user needs, behaviors, and motivations, ensuring that end-users are front and center throughout the entirety of the design process
- Participate in design reviews and contribute to the creation and maintenance of a comprehensive component library to ensure consistency and scalability across designs
- A strong portfolio showcasing your design skills and process
- High School Diploma/GED mandatory
- Three or more years of experience as a user experience designer, preferably at a product-driven tech company or a consumer services B2C company
- Fundamental understanding of technical considerations such as basic code and development constraints
- Proficiency with wireframing and prototyping tools such as Figma and comfort working from an established component design system
- Experience working with agile and iterative methodologies and collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders
- Confidence incorporating various aspects of the overall product strategy into meaningful design moments
- Experience in running collaborative workshops to communicate users’ needs and work with both business and engineering to reach the best solution
- A solid foundation in design skills and usability best practices with an aptitude for systems thinking and information architecture
- Associates or Bachelor’s degree in graphic arts, design, communications, computer science, Human-Computer Interaction, or information technology
- Experience in an industry where data security and privacy are paramount

Work Environment & Physical Demands
AIP is a remote-first company, however, some of our roles are required to be in-office or hybrid work, especially in our Customer Care and related teams. We primarily collaborate with our US colleagues through virtual meetings (Zoom), email, and Slack. In this role, you will have to operate a laptop computer (PC or Mac available), computer software platforms, and other office productivity machinery, as necessary. Due to the nature of this role, you must be able to remain stationary for extended periods and must be able to observe and interpret written and/or verbal communication.
