\n- Manage multiple direct reports across different teams and functions within engineering
- Help to define the leveling system and career progression for engineers at all levels and work with individuals on their personal growth goals and skills gaps
- Work closely with the product team to drive efficient and predictable execution of key product features and infrastructure improvements, and with company leadership to communicate resourcing needs and bandwidth considerations
- Develop and maintain a strong hiring process; own sourcing strategies and ultimately drive the outcome of hiring great engineers into various roles across the org
- You love working with people and making people feel heard, valued and pushed to grow
- You enjoy facilitating individual growth through an empathetic, hand's on management style
- You are a strong, direct communicator and value transparent, bi-directional feedback
- You are outcomes driven and are able to stay focused what will ultimately deliver the biggest impact to the company
- You don't shy away from difficult conversations and are able to manage performance productively and effectively
- You are mission-driven and love the fact that the better we do as a company, the less waste we’ll see in the world
- Experience managing at least 5-8 direct reports within a software engineering org
- Prior experience as a tech lead or EM directly involved with product development execution and delivery
- Prior experience as a software engineer; i.e. ability to engage directly with software engineers on the contents of their work (note: this role does not have an IC component)
- Experience as a hiring manager directly responsible for a developing a hiring process that resulted in significant team growth
- Bonus: Experience at a 50-100 person Series A-B startup

The team is currently remote-first with a hub office in NY and optional in-person work for those located in the area. We have company offsites twice a year to bring the full team together in person, and occasional travel is expected as part of the job.
