About this role:
As a Customer Success Manager, you will own a portfolio of customer accounts and drive greater business value for them by bringing Astronomer’s best ideas, innovations, and capabilities to our customers. The ideal candidate will be able to successfully articulate value and both inspire and align Astronomer’s data orchestration capabilities with our customer’s strategic business goals. You will engage customers post-sale, build customer satisfaction and retention, and help customers maximize value from their Astronomer investment. In this role, you will have a significant opportunity to craft the customer journey, identify opportunities, and be the voice of your customers.
What you get to do:
Own the overall relationship with clients: Onboard new customers, increase adoption, ensure retention, identify upsell potential, and drive customer satisfaction.
Develop and execute customer success plans, tracking and reporting on key metrics for customer adoption and success.
Manage customers through initial launch of use cases on Astronomer platform and beyond
Build and enhance our customers’ Astronomer skill sets.
Help customers identify and define use cases for Astronomer products.
Develop and nurture customers to become strong advocates on behalf of Astronomer.
Effectively address customer satisfaction and resolve a diverse set of issues. This will include coordinating with various internal stakeholders.
Identify upsell and growth opportunities, collaborating with sales teams to ensure growth attainment.
Provide regular customer status updates to the Astronomer Leadership Team, including high-risk customers and customers with high upsell potential.
Become a trusted advisor relationship for our customers.
Ensure high customer satisfaction by surveying customers and adjusting based on their feedback.
Document findings from customer interactions and communicate them to various internal stakeholders.
What you bring to the role:
Eagerness to help customers solve problems and succeed in making Airflow the de-facto standard in data orchestration.
Experience in relevant market products, such as Cloudera, Databricks, AWS, Azure, Google Platform, Tableau, SAS, ETL technologies or other Analytics Solutions, Apache Airflow, Python, SQL, Docker, and Kubernetes.
Proven ability to drive continuous value of product(s).
Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
Experience in escalation management and development of go-to-green plans.
Experience working with a technical customer base, understanding corporate IT projects and processes.
A quantitative approach to understanding, measuring, and forecasting Customer behavior and revenue.
Strong collaborative nature and commitment to quality.
Desire to learn, general curiosity, and passion for making customers happy.
BA/BS in Business, Communications, Marketing, or other related field.
Bonus points if you have:
3+ years experience in Customer Success or Account Management, professional services, delivery manager, and technical account management.
Flexibility to travel on occasion to see customers or attend internal meetings. (<10%)
The estimated salary for this role ranges from $120,000 - $150,000, along with an equity component. This range is merely an estimate, and the width of the range reflects willingness to consider candidates with broad prior seniority. Actual compensation may deviate from this range based on skills, experience, and qualifications.
