About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced UI/UX Designer to join our market-leading, fast-growing, event ticketing technology company. As a UI/UX Designer, you will play a crucial role in designing intuitive, user-friendly digital experiences that align with both our business objectives and user needs. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to research, conceptualize, prototype, and refine products that enhance user satisfaction and engagement, contributing to Automatiq’s mission of delivering cutting-edge solutions that power intelligent ticket pricing and distribution, at scale. Reporting to the VP, Product, this role requiresthe ability to understand user needs and advocate for them, the skills to present ideas and articulate design decisions and the desire to collaborate with developers, product managers and stakeholders.
\n- Conduct user research through interviews, surveys, and usability studies to gather insights and identify user needs.
- Create wireframes, storyboards, user flows, and prototypes to communicate design concepts effectively.
- Design and refine UI/UX solutions that enhance accessibility, usability, and overall user experience.
- Collaborate with product managers, developers, and stakeholders to ensure a seamless design process.
- Develop and maintain design systems and UI components to ensure consistency across products.
- Use data-driven approaches to validate design decisions and improve user engagement.
- Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in UX/UI design.
- Advocate for the end user while balancing business goals and technical constraints.
- Design and optimize UX for both mobile and web applications, ensuring responsive and adaptive design approaches.
- Work with development teams to ensure seamless implementation of designs across different devices and platforms.
- Perform usability testing for mobile and web applications, iterating based on user feedback.
- Collaborate with engineers to understand technical constraints and create feasible designs for both Web and Mobile platforms.
- Foster a collaborative environment by working closely with cross-functional teams to align design goals with business objectives.
- Communicate and present design ideas effectively to stakeholders, incorporating feedback constructively.
- Team up with other designers and contribute to a culture of knowledge sharing and continuous learning.
- Bachelor's degree in UX/UI Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Graphic Design, Computer Science, Industrial Design, Interactive Media, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in UX design, with a strong portfolio showcasing user-centered design solutions.
- Proficiency in design tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, or similar.
- Solid understanding of UX principles, information architecture, and interaction design.
- Experience with usability testing, A/B testing, and user analytics tools.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Ability to present design concepts and rationale clearly to stakeholders.
- Familiarity with front-end development (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) is a plus.
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple projects simultaneously in a remote first environment
- Have experience working in the sports and entertainment ticketing industry, a marketplace technology company and/or startup environments
- Previous experience in SaaS, e-commerce, fintech, or AI-driven products
