Actual starting pay will vary based on factors including, but not limited to, geographic location, experience, skills, specialty, and education. About This Job The VP, Operations Manager is passionate, self-motivated leader responsible for managing, developing and motivating a diverse team of operations personnel to achieve the current and future strategic and operational initiatives of the LaVictoire Finance marine lending division. High-level problem solver accountable for executing short- and long-term goals while meeting/exceeding quality benchmarks through day-to-day operations of the floor plan and retail verticals. Fosters positive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders, business leaders and cross-functional teams in pursuit of high operational standards. Actively participates in marine lending organizational planning including procedural development, operational excellence, budgets, and staffing. Ensures consistently high service levels by monitoring accuracy, compliance, and quality, while driving process improvements for enhanced efficiency and fostering a culture of innovation and exceptional performance. Responsibilities: Execute a comprehensive strategy for marine lending and originations that aligns with the Bank’s overall objectives and positions LaVictoire Finance as the pre-eminent marine financing leader Develop and maintain influential relationships with business leaders and other key stakeholders to ensure full support of LaVictoire Finance strategic and operational initiatives, through issue resolution, high levels of service and improved speed-to-market Maintain a thorough knowledge and understanding of lending regulations, bank policies, and procedures, including all loan systems and programs utilized within the LaVictoire Finance BU Implement strategies that enhance service levels and regulatory compliance within daily operations; Drive continuous improvement by optimizing technology, processes, and people capabilities Champion a high performing customer-focused culture, characterized by responsiveness, transparency, innovation and a commitment to meeting borrower needs Manage risk mitigation efforts, internal controls and related projects to protect the Bank against operational, strategic, reputational, credit, and compliance risks Stay ahead of market trends, regulatory changes, and technological advancements in the marine industry, recommending changes to lending strategies to maintain our competitive edge Optimize loan origination strategies, investor relationships, and product offerings that resonate with secondary market demands Drive the achievement of ambitious loan origination targets while maintaining a keen focus on loan quality, risk management, and compliance Maintain effective pipeline management by assigning work goals and tracking results Ensure team members maintain robust customer contact on a regular basis to obtain pertinent documents pertaining to existing loans and provide superior customer service Present comprehensive and insightful performance reports to senior management, highlighting achievements, challenges, and recommended strategies Recruit, Lead, mentor, and develop a team of loan operations professionals, nurturing growth, enhancing skillsets, and building a collaborative, cohesive and high-performing unit Communicate service level agreements, delays and improvements to origination partners and management, as appropriate Manage the accurate, timely boarding of floor plan and retail loans Monitor compliance and accurate reporting within all operational processes Perform other duties as assigned Requirements: Bachelor's Degree in business or a related field 5-10 years of related loan operations experience and leadership An accomplished, influential leader who thrives in an entrepreneurial environment, with an unwavering passion for success and operational excellence Able to motivate and inspire team to achieve outstanding loan origination results and exceed performance expectations through a sense of urgency, determination, and a 'can-do' attitude Preferred Experience: Deep understanding of end-to-end floor plan and retail marine lending process with detailed knowledge of data flow to ensure Data Integrity, Quality and a Customer Centric approach Motivated and extremely organized self-starter with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment Inquisitive, agile, and strong team player with excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills Axos Employee Benefits May Include: Medical, Dental, Vision, and Life Insurance Paid Sick Leave, 3 weeks’ Vacation, and Holidays (about 11 a year) HSA or FSA account and other voluntary benefits 401(k) Retirement Saving Plan with Employer Match Program and 529 Savings Plan Employee Mortgage Loan Program and free access to an Axos Bank Account with Self-Directed Trading About Axos Born digital-first, Axos delivers financial tools and services that allow individuals, small businesses, and companies to access and manage their money how, when, and where they want.
