The Opportunity:
As the Lead Software Architect, you will help build the technological vision for Blackpoint, drive technology strategy and influence business partners and technology leaders on strategic direction. You will be responsible for the overall architecture of our product portfolio. You will work with leaders across Product on the definition and delivery of highly scalable and secure SaaS solutions and a highly reliable endpoint agent. This role does not only require excellent technical skills, but outstanding analytical, leadership and influencing skills paired with great business insight. It is a cross-functional leadership role that requires alignment building and communication with the entire Product organization. You see the “big picture” and create architectural approaches for software design and implementation to guide the team.
What You’ll Do:
Own and accountable for defining and driving software architecture for the product portfolio. This includes scalability, reliability, extensibility and maintainability of the designed solutions.
Owns and manages the design review process for the Product organization.
Determine overall architectural principles, frameworks and standards in collaboration with engineers across the organization.
Works in a collaborative and nurturing fashion with the business.
Provides leadership to development engineers and test engineers.
Drives research and PoCs on leading edge technologies on how best to leverage them.
Who You Are:
12+ years of related experience.
Experience building and optimizing data pipelines, architectures and data sets.
Knowledge of big data and streaming technologies such as Elastic, Kafka, Spark.
Well versed in AWS cloud infrastructure, services and cloud technologies such as containers (Docker, Kubernetes).
Expert in microservices and SaaS enterprise scale architecture.
Experience in various data storage methods and in building data platforms.
Experience with high-volume SaaS applications that manage data and traffic at massive Scale.
Experience with designing and delivering high quality endpoint agents at enterprise scale.
Ability to think and act strategically and proactively.
Exceptional verbal, presentation, listening and written communication skills with the ability to inspire and align teams towards a strong technology vision.
Possesses an innate organizational awareness and ability to anticipate and address challenges proactively.
