The Role
The Bloomerang Finance team serves as a cross-functional business partner, empowering the business to make informed decisions through the use of data, strategic direction and analytical bandwidth. Outside of traditional financial reporting and analysis, the Finance team maintains close relationships with leaders across the organization, assisting with ad hoc projects and deliverables.
The ideal candidate for this role has a “figure it out” mentality, is comfortable with managing ambiguity, and can communicate effectively across a wide-ranging set of people. Our ability to be effective partners is built on developing trust, which comes from preparation, attention to detail and consistency. Lastly, the ideal candidate brings a strategic mindset and approach towards problem solving, combining their understanding of finance with the operational context of the situation to strike the right balance between being quantitative vs. qualitative in how they analyze and communicate potential solutions.
What You Will Do
- Take ownership of one or more key deliverables that the FP&A team is responsible for as part of month-end close (dependent on manager)
- Take on ad hoc inbound requests coming from cross-functional teams and leadership
- Work with rest of FP&A team to partner with cross-functional leaders on department-specific initiatives
- Learn and grow in their role, building their intuitive understanding of Bloomerang’s business and of the inner-workings of a software + payments business model
What You Need to Succeed
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Understanding of financial statements
- Autonomous, “figure it out” mentality – comfortable and willing to dig into problems without complete information
- Prior experience working in a fast-paced environment with desire and curiosity to learn at the intersection of strategy and operations
- Superior attention to detail skills

Compensation
The salary range for this position is: $72,000-$108,000. You may also be eligible for a discretionary bonus. Actual compensation within the range will be dependent on your skills, experience, qualifications, and location, as well as applicable employment laws.
Location
This is a permanent, full-time, fully remote position. Employees living in Indianapolis, IN are welcome to work from our company headquarters. We do not offer Visa sponsorship or relocation assistance at this time.
