Position Overview

As a Front-end Engineer on our Adobe Edge Delivery Services team, you will be responsible for designing and developing web-based user interfaces that optimize content delivery through Adobe’s network. You will work closely with back-end developers, UX/UI designers, and other cross-functional teams to ensure our websites and applications perform optimally for end-users, focusing on low latency and high scalability.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop responsive, high-performance web applications optimized for global content delivery using Adobe Edge Delivery Services.
  • Collaborate with back-end developers to integrate APIs and other services, ensuring seamless interaction between front-end and server-side logic.
  • Optimize front-end code for speed and performance, particularly in large-scale content delivery environments.
  • Use modern frameworks like React, Angular, or Vue.js to build dynamic and interactive UIs.
  • Debug, troubleshoot, and resolve performance issues related to front-end code, ensuring low-latency page load times.
  • Implement web accessibility best practices (WCAG) to ensure all users can access content.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and Adobe’s Edge technologies to leverage the latest tools and techniques for optimizing content delivery.
  • Work in Agile or Scrum development cycles, participating in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
 

Required Qualifications

  • Must be able to work EST hours
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Web Development, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 3+ years of experience in front-end development with a focus on performance optimization and content delivery networks (CDNs).
  • Strong proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript (ES6+).
  • Experience with modern JavaScript frameworks/libraries such as React, Angular, or Vue.js.
  • Hands-on experience with Adobe Edge Delivery Services or similar CDN platforms.
  • Understanding of performance profiling and optimization techniques for web applications.
  • Familiarity with RESTful APIs and asynchronous request handling (AJAX, Fetch, etc.).
  • Knowledge of version control systems like Git.
  • Experience with performance tools such as Lighthouse, WebPageTest, or other front-end performance monitoring systems.
 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with Adobe Experience Cloud, Adobe I/O, or other Adobe services.
  • Knowledge of SEO principles and how to optimize web pages for search engines.
  • Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools like Docker, Kubernetes, or CI/CD pipelines.
  • Understanding of server-side rendering (SSR) and its benefits for performance and SEO.
  • Experience with cloud-based infrastructures like AWS or Azure.



 

The US average base salary range for this full-time contract position is $100,000 - $140,000. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations, but they are subject to change based on the following factors: role, experience level, education/certification, job-related skills, and working location. Please note that some states within the US have pay/hiring laws that may affect the salary range listed above.
