Job Description
Brightspeed has an exciting opportunity for an IT Principal Systems Engineer, Enterprise - Digital Experience to join our growing team and lead, manage and transform our digital experience for our business users and customers. As IT Principal Systems Engineer, Enterprise - Digital Experience, you are a seasoned technology leader with a track record of standing up and leading transformation journey with digital experience design and technologies. In this exciting role, you will be challenged with the opportunity to re-imagine every aspect of the customer experience across the sales, ordering and billing life cycle.
Our ideal candidate is someone who wants to get in early, look over the horizon, and set the vision for a new standard in the telecom sales ordering and billing domain. We want entrepreneurs at heart, who have the depth of experience in bringing comprehensive E2E customer engagement experience into reality.
As IT Principal Systems Engineer, Enterprise - Digital Experience, your responsibilities will include:
• Collaborate with business leads and architects to understand business needs and design digital experience technologies.
• Analyze business and user needs to determine feasibility of design within time and cost constraints.
• Collaborate with internal teams to design roadmaps and ensure end-to-end robustness and scalability of code.
• Identify and build consensus on coding standards with engineering, product, and business teams.
• Create functional strategies and ensure policies support digital experience infrastructure.
• Oversee architecture and digital experience technology development in customer sales, ordering functionalities, and billing processes.
• Define standards, guidelines, and best practices to maintain code quality; adopt Agile, DevOps, and other enablers for project delivery.
• Execute data modeling and performance analysis to enhance digital experience systems and productivity.
• Create documents related to system architecture, design steps, integration processes, and testing procedures.
• Support day-to-day digital experience operations.
• Maintain consistent use of style guidelines and UI components.
• Implement system testing, evaluate results, and collaborate with partners to improve digital and user experience.
• Track industry trends and leverage data to drive innovation and solution excellence; conduct market research to align with competitors.
• Position will be headquartered in Charlotte, NC, and allows for telecommuting from various unanticipated worksites throughout the United States.

Qualifications
WHAT IT TAKES TO CATCH OUR EYE:
- Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Information Technology, Computer Science, Electronics Engineering, or related field, plus five (5) years post-baccalaureate experience as a Software Developer, Software Engineer, or related role.
- Experience must include developing applications leveraging HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery, AJAX, JSON, Bootstrap, and Angular;
- Designing and maintaining Java application phases;
- Implementing Jenkins for streamlined build processes; writing test cases leveraging JUnit; and conducting unit testing leveraging Mocha and Chai.
- Position will be headquartered in Charlotte, NC, and allows for telecommuting from various unanticipated worksites throughout the United States.
