- Conversational Designer - Semantic Search Role Overview:
- We're seeking a talented Conversational Designer with a strong background in SEO to help us develop and optimize our new semantic search system.
- You'll work closely with our content, product, and engineering teams to design and implement conversational flows and optimize search rankings to drive customer success.
- Key Responsibilities:
- Design and optimize conversational flows for our chat interface, ensuring they're intuitive, informative, and aligned with user intent.
- Work with content leaders to define and refine the tone of voice for responses to reflect the Sage brand values.
- Collaborate with content teams to implement SEO best practices in product documentation, including semantic keyword optimization and structured data markup.
- Analyze and report on user interactions and search patterns to continually improve the effectiveness of conversational flows and prompts.
- Work closely with data scientists and engineers to fine-tune the LLM and RAG system for optimal performance and relevance.
- Develop strategies to improve the accuracy and experience of our LLM-generated summaries in our search experience, which may include developing and refining prompts.
- Create and maintain documentation on best practices for conversational design and prompt engineering in an SEO context.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and developments in conversational AI, LLMs, and search engine algorithms.
- Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Communications, Linguistics, Computer Science or a related field.
- 5 years of experience in conversational design, UX writing, or related fields.
- 3 years of experience in SEO and content optimization.
- Proven track record of improving search visibility and user engagement through conversational design and content optimization.
- Strong understanding of LLMs, RAG systems, and their applications for search and content.
- Excellent writing skills with the ability to craft clear, concise, and engaging content.
- Experience with schema markup and structured data best practices.
- Strong analytical skills and experience with data-driven decision making.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Familiarity with technical writing, API documentation, and knowledge base articles.
- Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working with GPT-3, GPT-4, or similar large language models.
- Experience with A/B testing and conversion rate optimization.
