Title: SASE Engineer (Test Engineer with Network & Security)
Location: Plano, TX/Columbus, OH/Seatle, WA (Hybrid/Remote works too)

SASE Engineer As an experienced Test Engineer for SASE (Network & Security) for SASE (Network & Security), your expertise in testing business/technical use cases in a complex cloud network & security architecture will be key to ensuring efficient and secure connectivity for the entire organization. By incorporating your deep technical knowledge and experience of network and security testing, you will drive testing (e.g. PoC, Pilot, Feature ) of Secure Access Service Edge (SASE) solutions, ensuring that components such as SD-WAN, cloud access security brokers (CASB), zero trust network access (ZTNA), firewall as a service (FWaaS), and secure web gateways (SWG) are optimally functioning and meet the defined requirements of the organization. This role involves managing all aspects of Proof of Concept (PoC), lab setups, vendor evaluation and pilot testing for various SASE use cases. You’ll partner closely with our Solution Architects / Product Managers and align SASE testing with our product requirements. Responsibilities 
  • Plan, Design, set up, and manage PoC, lab environments, and pilot tests for various SASE use cases, including tests specific to SD-WAN, CASB, ZTNA, FWaaS, and SWG.
  • Ensure all SASE components are thoroughly tested, validating inter-component communication and security layers.
  • Develop detailed testing plans for each SASE component, including objectives, strategies, and individual test cases.
  • Prioritize testing tasks based on criticality and business requirements for each component. Independently lead the execution of all tests, capturing and analyzing results for SD-WAN, CASB, ZTNA, FWaaS, and SWG functionalities.  
  • Monitor test environments for anomalies, ensuring that the integrated SASE components operate cohesively.
  • Engage with different SASE vendors during the testing phase, ensuring solutions specific to components like SD-WAN, CASB, and others are accurately evaluated and potential issues are addressed.
  • Maintain open communication channels with vendors for timely resolution of any identified component-specific problems.
  • Create detailed reports on test results for each SASE component, including identified issues, recommendations, and performance metrics.
  • Document testing procedures, methodologies, and criteria for each component for future reference and standardization.
  • Provide feedback to the architecture and implementation teams based on test results for specific components like ZTNA or FWaaS.
  • Stay updated with the latest in SASE technologies and components, bringing new testing methodologies and tools to the team.
  • Work closely with the architecture, implementation, and operations teams to ensure that the solutions are testable, scalable, and meet business requirements.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure that their requirements are captured and considered during the testing phase of specific components.
