Summary
Our team is expanding and we are looking to hire a Senior Cloud Engineer to elevate our AWS cloud infrastructure and contribute to our innovative SaaS platform. In this role, you will focus on optimizing and securing cloud systems, collaborating with a talented team to ensure high performance and reliability. This is a fully remote based role, however candidates must be located in Argentina, Brazil or Colombia. Note: this is a long-term Independent Contractor position.
\n- Design, deploy, and manage AWS infrastructure to ensure secure and efficient operations that power our platform
- Provide AWS Cloud Services expertise to support critical documentation and compliance efforts
- Develop, test, and maintain tooling, including deployment applications and observability systems that enhance our workflows
- Implement CI/CD pipelines to automate application deployment, streamlining processes and improving efficiency
- Monitor cloud performance to ensure high availability and reliability, making sure our customers have seamless access to services
- Troubleshoot and resolve cloud infrastructure issues, acting as a vital resource for development and operations teams
- Create reusable GitHub actions modules to elevate CI/CD practices and improve our development processes
- Develop and manage Terraform modules that drive internal solutions and enhance team collaboration
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field
- 5+ years of experience with Linux and Python
- 5+ years of experience operating an AWS Cloud DevOps platform for a B2B SaaS org
- 2+ years of experience working at a scaling startup
- 2+ years of experience with design, implementation, and support of containerized monolithic application running on EC2 or similar platforms
- 2+ years experience with design, implementation, and support of automation using a commercial off the shelf automation platform such as SaltProject, Ansible, or Chef
- Deep understanding of network architecture specifically on the AWS Cloud to design, implement, and support a highly available SaaS product
- Ability to implement development / deployment / monitoring workflows and processes through the automated frameworks
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Working knowledge of disaster recovery, high availability and other technologies and principles that support business continuity; experience with DR capabilities in cloud environments
- Able to produce and review existing system documentation for owned system
