Job Description
Join the team redefining how the world experiences design.
Hey, g'day, mabuhay, kia ora, 你好, hallo, vítejte!
Thanks for stopping by. We know job hunting can be a little time consuming and you're probably keen to find out what's on offer, so we'll get straight to the point.
Where and how you can work
Our flagship campus is in Sydney. We also have a campus in Melbourne and co-working spaces in Brisbane, Perth and Adelaide. But you have choice in where and how you work, we trust our Canvanauts to choose the balance that empowers them and their team to achieve their goals.
What you’d be doing in this role
As Canva scales change continues to be part of our DNA. But we like to think that's all part of the fun. So this will give you the flavour of the type of things you'll be working on when you start, but this will likely evolve.
The mission of Product Managers at Canva is to create the most accessible design tool for every person in the world. We believe that we can improve the world by empowering everyone to design and communicate visually. As a Product Manager at Canva, you help set this vision, define what that future looks like, and build the products and features that get us there.
Product Managers collaborate with Canva’s leadership team to set the strategic direction, scope, and success metrics for product initiatives. We work across teams of designers, software engineers, marketers and analysts to ensure we're delivering an exceptional experience to all our users. We are responsible for implementing and collaborating on product strategy, road mapping, and prioritisation as our product grows.
It’s our responsibility to see products through their entire lifecycle—from concept through to validation, build, post-launch analytics and iterations.
At the moment, this role is focused on:
- Inform the vision, strategy, and roadmap for new Connect APIs and for the Connect API platform
- Partner with Sales, Marketing and Developer Support to drive the adoption of new APIs
- Partner with other Product Managers in Canva to explore how Canva’s design features could be made available to developers
- Perform primary and secondary research with both users and developers to understand their integration and API needs
You're probably a match if
- You have strong experience as a product manager of a software product (with platform or API experience a huge plus)
- You are a strong communicator (with written and verbal communication skills) and can communicate complex technical concepts to non-tech stakeholders
- You can speak the language of engineering, data, design, and operations and can coordinate cross-functionally with each to achieve big wins
- You’re very knowledgeable of the tools and processes development teams use to develop, build, and, test apps and integrations
- Experience with analytics to help make data-informed decisions
About the team
Canva’s Ecosystem Group was formed in 2021, unifying Canva’s developer ecosystem investments, to create an abundant ecosystem of developers and apps that tailors Canva for each user. Our aim is to build the world’s richest Ecosystem of apps and integrations for visual design and communications on Canva. We are building strategic integrations, developing a platform with multiple API products to enable valuable apps and integrations for our users, and building an array of tools for a best in class developer experience.
A critical component of our Ecosystem play is our Connect API, which enables third party developers, and especially our largest Enterprise customers, to integrate Canva with other systems for seamless user workflows.
