What you’d be doing in this role
As Canva scales change continues to be part of our DNA. But we like to think that's all part of the fun. So this will give you the flavour of the type of things you'll be working on when you start, but this will likely evolve.
At the moment, this role is focused on:
- Developing and refining the product roadmap for Editing Platform based on user needs, business objectives, and technical feasibility.
- Conducting market research, competitive analysis, and gathering user feedback for product strategy.
- Serve as main point of contact between Editing Platform team and other product teams.
- Work with engineering team to understand technical challenges and guide technical decisions.
- Monitor platform KPIs, identify areas for optimization, and ensure infrastructure supports demands.
- Communicate with stakeholders and present product updates and strategic plans.
- Lead innovation efforts to enhance platform capabilities and user experience.

About the team
The Editing Platform group supports the editor through a secure, performant, reliable, and scalable platform. They provide the core backend services that allow users to create, import, edit, collaborate on, and download their designs.
As a Product Manager in Editing Platform, you’ll be responsible for helping multiple teams identify and prioritize the right problems at the right time to ensure Canva’s editor can continue to scale to serve all our users. You’ll work with dependent teams to triage requests and create a roadmap that brings clarity to the Editing Platform teams and their stakeholders. You’ll partner closely with PM’s in other groups like Video, Presentations, Editing, and Collaboration, to better understand the needs of our users and identify opportunities to improve the platform capabilities to meet their needs.
This is a product role that requires a deep understanding of the ins and outs of how the Editor works. You will become an expert in the underlying technology as well as the user interface and experience to help bridge the gap between the two and help the Editing Platform teams deliver technical solutions that create the best experience for all our users.
