We are looking for a dynamic Senior Data Analyst to join our team! The Senior Data Analyst will act as a data subject matter expert to provide data-driven management tools (e.g., forecasting, scenario planning, dashboards). The Senior Data Analyst will work on data-driven tasks, including designing and building databases, strategy development for data warehouses, data acquisition techniques that improve integration, and archive recovery. The Senior Data Analyst will also perform data governance, including maintenance and cleansing to maintain quality, fidelity, and security, research, identify, select, and test products and data sources that align with Team CATHEXIS and the program’s quality standards, and plan technology integration or migration strategies. They will define solutions based on user/client needs, cost, and integration requirements. The Senior Data Analyst will leverage leading-edge data and analytics techniques, e.g., Business Intelligence, Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning, statistical modeling, and applied algorithms. They will also use predictive, prescriptive, diagnostic, and/or descriptive analytics. They will understand evolving project priorities and growth trajectory and propose data modernization, capture, visualization, and exploitation ideas to drive efficiencies and align with the program’s future-state mission and priorities. The Senior Data Analyst will maintain proficiency in SQL Server, Python, Excel, CSV files, JSON documents, Azure databases, and Power BI.
Responsibilities:
- Review and analyze qualitative and quantitative data
- Implement and manage data repositories containing large volumes of files
- Excel workbooks, SQL databases, PowerPoint presentations
- Protect data using document-level encryption
- Manage data logs and prioritize workload to meet customer timelines
- Prepare and execute standard operating procedures
- Design and execute data analyses
- Design, prepare, and deliver short training classes
- Develop the technical and analytics skills of junior analysts
- Provide input for weekly reports
- Collaborate with others frequently on analyses
- Serve as sole programmer (coder) for significant projects in MS PowerApps and/or SQL, responsible for gathering business requirements, initial coding, gathering feedback, making final coding changes, and preparing documentation
Requirements:
- 5+ years with BS/BA
- 3+ years with MS/MA
- 1+ years with PhD
- Proficient in Microsoft collaboration tools: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access, and SharePoint
- Proficient in SQL Server, Python, Excel, CSV files, JSON documents, Azure databases, and Power BI
- To be considered for this role, an active NACI (National Agency Check with Inquiries) for a Veterans Affairs Public Trust Tier 2 clearance is required
