As the Manager, Credit and Collections, you will be responsible for managing the overall credit and collections process, and team. You’ll communicate with sales, legal, accounting, FP&A, and customers to resolve any issues and ensure the collection of AR month to month. You are comfortable in a high growth, fast-paced environment with shifting demands and effectively prioritize competing deliverables. The ideal candidate is willing to dive into the details to develop simple operational solutions for unique billing and collections scenarios, but is equally adept at stepping back from the details to summarize and communicate to leadership.
In this role, you’ll:
Plan, organize, lead the billing/collections operations team (3-4 direct reports), including implementing strategic direction, development and mentoring
Own the AR aging and ensure achievement of collection targets or effectively communicate delays
Mature all of our processes, with a focus on government billings and collections, overall ticketing and responsiveness, and non payment churn
Ensure the accuracy of billing reports by developing a comprehensive understanding of current practices and use the information to lead productivity and accuracy of billing
Develop understanding of the current cash application and cash collection processes and make recommendations to streamline processes, build efficiencies and add controls
Manage the cash forecasting function to ensure we are able to accurately forecast collections monthly
Assist in preparing reporting used for month-end close/revenue recognition purposes
Maintain an active line of communication with the team for transparency and to manage timelines of deliverables
Maintain strong internal (including cross functional) and external customer relationships to ensure the timely resolution of problems
We’re looking for candidates who have:
5-7 years of billing/collection experience
Experience coaching, mentoring, and leading a team
Experience working with both private sector and public sector (government) clients
Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively across teams
Strong attention to detail
Experience working with a high volume of transactions in a fast-paced environment while using multiple systems
The ability to handle numerous priorities in a dynamic and growing environment
Knowledge of ERP, payroll, and expense management systems
Nice to have experience:
Preferred systems skills in NetSuite, Floqast, Salesforce, and Tesorio among others
Strong command of Google Suite products
Experience with Government customers

We set standard base salary ranges for all roles based on function, level, and location, benchmarked against technology companies. Individual pay decisions are based on a number of factors, including qualifications for the role, relevant work experience, skillset, internal equity, and other factors, consistent with applicable law. The salary range for this position is dependent on where you live within the United States. Chainalysis maintains two pay zones: Zone 1 includes team members in the New York City metro area and team members in the San Francisco Bay Area. Zone 2 encompasses all other parts of the United States.
The salary ranges are:
Zone 1: $97K-$139K-$180K
Zone 2: $85K-$122K-$158K
Base salary is just one part of our total rewards package which additionally includes equity, performance bonus or commissions for eligible roles, and competitive benefits.
