About The Role
As the Engineering Manager for Release Engineering, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our release processes and infrastructure at CLL. You will define and establish release golden paths, ensuring smooth and efficient delivery of our products to market. Your strategic insights will redefine our approach to packaging and artifacts in CLL, optimizing efficiency and reliability. Your leadership will drive innovation in GitHub management through code using Pulumi, empowering teams with scalable and automated solutions. By implementing best-in-class standardized release tooling and CI/CD pipelines, you will enhance internal engineering productivity and elevate the experience of our engineering teams. Additionally, your provision of on-demand environments will enable rapid development and testing, accelerating our time to market while maintaining robust quality standards.
\n- Minimum of 10 years experience in software engineering, with at least 3 years in a software development management leading a team of 6+ people
- Experience managing the engineering and delivery of release tools and CI/CD pipelines for globally-distributed internal customers
- Experience in building k8s based test environments and CI/CD pipelines management
- Ability to work on a globally-distributed team with a high degree of ownership
- Identify the different architectural and technical debt challenges and plan their improvement accordingly
- Strong technical foundation (prior experience as a staff engineer who was responsible for successful delivery of a project of significant scope)
- Empowering the software engineers and maximize the team’s productivity by setting goals, performing evaluations, and utilizing data to improve operational workflow.
- Experience or knowledge of blockchain technology, Web3 protocols, and the challenges related to developing large, distributed systems
- Experience with facilitating the team’s ceremonies (standup's, planning and refinement sessions, retros) and removing blockers to support your team’s day-to-day operations.
- Great understanding of Release Management practices, especially golden paths for CI/CD pipelines and release performance metrics
- Being flexible and capable of changing the team roadmap when faced with new information/context, communicate, and engage the team in delivering new directions
- Making data driven decisions
- Experience working in or leading Platform teams (building internal tools / self-service platforms)
- Experience defining SLO/SLIs for internal tools
- Engineering experience building tools with Golang and TypeScript
