About the Role:
We are seeking a highly motivated Intern with a desire to roll up your sleeves, learn and contribute. The ideal candidate will be pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent experience with an expected graduation date of May 2025 - June 2026.
Responsibilities:
Work on high impact projects, helping develop a new suite of Chalice Products
Leverage SQL or Python to shape and structure large, complex data sets for analysis
Build statistical and machine learning models to identify patterns in advertising pricing given rich datasets.
Meet with technical and non-technical stakeholders to understand and explain technical details of our programmatic advertising optimizations
Work between product, engineering, and data sciences teams to refine dashboards, models, and datasets.
Fine tune state of the art foundational models and leverage advanced ensembling techniques to refine CPA and user score models
Requirements:
Currently enrolled full time and pursuing a Bachelor’s, Master’s or PhD degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering; or equivalent experience required with an expected graduation date of May 2025 – June 2026
One or more internships in data science, software engineering, or equivalent.
Good understanding of statistical modeling, machine learning, deep learning, or data analytics concepts.
Experience with data manipulation and processing, preferably in SQL and Python (e.g., using PySpark)
Familiar with common python machine learning, statistical modeling, and data wrangling tools such as scikit learn, pandas, polars, etc.
Experience using deep learning packages such as PyTorch or Jax to develop end to end deep learning models.
Strong analytical and quantitative problem-solving ability.
Excellent communication, relationship skills and a team player
Ability to participate in a part-time internship starting October 2024
Location:
Chalice is based in NYC, with a hybrid office/remote work site. This role is remote.
