We are seeking a remote Identity and Directory Management Services (IDMS) Senior Engineer with expertise with Okta and Google Authenticator.  The focus will be on applications to support the enterprise users & the enterprise architecture. The position will have a heavy emphasis on the design, administration, management, execution & maintenance of the client’s Identity & Directory Management Services (IDMS) and Identity, Credential, and Access Management (ICAM).

Education And Experience
  • 5 years of experience and a bachelor’s degree or equivalent preferred 
  • 3+ direct years of experience engineering and providing operations support for Okta SSO solutions 
  • Hands-on experience migrating applications to implement and support Okta Modules include Adaptive MFA, ASA, Devices Trust, and Workflows 
  • Familiarity with Google Authenticator  


Responsibilities
  • Extensive experience with Okta includes integrations, configuration, and migrations 
  • Migrate applications using JBOSS, NET, PHP, Java, PowerShell 
  • Troubleshoot advanced problems within the Okta IdP with tools Fiddler or SAML tracer 
  • Integrate applications with SAML, OpenID Connect, RADIUS and Oauth 
  • Integrate applications with Multi-Factor Authentication 
  • Integrate applications with Password-less Authentication 
  • Provide advanced support for IAM/SSO/MFA by troubleshooting software problems, addressing bug fixes, and determining root cause analysis using Agile methodologies 
  • Strong communication skills 
  • Implement technical capabilities including IAM solutions and application integrations, to enhance enterprise security risk posture  
  • Support, manage, administer, the IT MFA environment 
  • Manage, administer, and support ICAM systems and related support activities 
  • Utilize automation and role-based management (RBAC)  
  • Providing on-call rotation support on a routine basis 
  • Identifying process improvement opportunities 
  • Providing positive customer service interactions for all levels of the organization  
  • Continuously review and assess the IT ICAM environment and provide recommendations for how to manage and administer the environment more efficiently 
  • Familiarity with Proof of Concepts (PoC) and Pilots for Zero Trust Network Access ZTNA 
  • Escalate issues to vendor and third-party entities, as necessary and directed  


Required Skills
  • Okta certification 
  • 3+ years' experience with IDMS systems 
  • Familiarity working with JBOSS, NET, PHP, Java, and Apache 
  • Previous experience migrating systems to Okta with a focus on the applications 
  • Minimum of 3 years engineering and supporting Okta solutions 
  • Subject matter expertise (SME) engineering and supporting Okta 
  • Evaluates performance results and recommends major changes affecting short-term project growth and success 
  • Functions as a subject matter expert across multiple project assignments 
  • Design and develop solutions to complex application problems, system issues, or aid in network issues 
  • Perform systems management and integration functions 
  • Proven ability to work independently in a full and/or partial remote environment with limited supervision and supervise/lead others 
  • Possess the ability to communicate in both oral and written forms, demonstrating an ability to communicate effectively with all levels of staff 
  • Maintain standard working hours, to be available for meetings, and other collaborative efforts during during normal business hours 
  • Ability to use practical experience and training to determine how to accomplish tasks 


Preferred Skills
  • ITILv4 Foundation Training and ITILv4 Foundation Certification,  
  • Strong knowledge of the different identity and access management (IAM) concepts, technologies, and authentication protocols 
  • Intimately familiar with IAM related protocols such as OAuth, SAML, XACML, SPML, SCIM, OIDC, OpenID and REST APIs, and other security interfaces  
  • Strong experience with Directories, SSO, Federation, Delegated administration, API gateways, SOA services 
  • Active Directory including but not limited to: 
  • Azure Active Directory 
  • Microsoft Active Directory 
  • NetIQ DRA 
  • NetIQ Group Policy Administrator (GPA) 
  • Active Directory Lightweight Directory Services 
  • Vulnerability Mitigation 
  • Working knowledge of Splunk or similar platforms 
  • Knowledge of Privileged Access Management (PAM) systems such as CyberArk, ASA, or FreeIPA 
  • Hands-on experience with cloud computing services (Microsoft Azure, AWS, GCP, or OCI) 
  • An understanding of Zero Trust concepts 
  • Proficiency in the Google Suite, Slack, and Atlassian products (JSM/JIRA & Confluence)

$143,800 - $154,275 a year
For Individuals based in Colorado, Washington, New York, and California Cision is required to disclose a salary range for this role. This compensation range of $143,800 to $154,275 is specific to Colorado, Washington, New York, and California, however base pay may vary depending on a range of relevant factors.
