Groove, a Clari Company serves some of the most historically underserved users, many of whom have been stuck using unintuitive and clunky software for their whole careers. About the Role
We are looking for an Engineering Manager with strong leadership and communication skills who has a passion for mentoring and developing talented engineers to create best-in-class products that delight our customers.
Our engineering organization is split into product based squads. You'll be joining one of these squads and working most closely with each engineer and product manager within the squad.
This is a fully remote opportunity and can be worked from any location in the United States.
\n- Lead and manage the Chrome Extension and Outlook Add-in engineering team, mentoring all levels of engineers and helping them grow while maintaining a hands-on role in coding and problem-solving
- Work closely with support teams to address customer issues, aligning technical solutions with business needs
- Optimize front-end performance, using tools like Chrome Developer Tools to troubleshoot and identify bottlenecks, providing improvements with data-driven metrics
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, designers, and support, to ensure alignment between technical and business goals
- Drive continuous improvement in both the product and development processes, ensuring scalable and high-performing solutions
- Be a mentor and guide for your team, encouraging them to ask deeper questions and gain a comprehensive understanding of the product landscape
- Lead technical discussions, architectural reviews, and code reviews, ensuring best practices and high standards across the team
- Advocate for and implement a robust SDLC, ensuring that the team follows processes that lead to high-quality, maintainable software
- Use your strong business sense and communication skills to represent your team’s needs and progress in broader company discussions, influencing product and business strategy
- 6+ years of professional software development experience, with experience in leading team projects and being a tech lead
- Strong hands-on experience with React, Redux, and modern JavaScript development
- Expertise in front-end performance optimization and troubleshooting using Chrome Developer Tools, with a proven ability to demonstrate performance improvements through data
- Deep understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and best practices
- Experience working closely with support teams to troubleshoot issues and deliver customer-focused solutions
- Knowledge of browser extension development and familiarity with the Chrome ecosystem is a plus
- Excellent communication, and mentorship skills, with a passion for fostering team development
- Ability to influence and guide both technical and business decisions, ensuring alignment between technical work and broader company objectives.
