Title: Sr Site Reliability Engineer
Overview:
Senior Site Reliability Engineers demonstrate passion and leadership for efforts of application deployment, reliability and performance. They are an engineering point person and have a solid grasp of the platform, our tech stack, and trends within the field of engineering. In addition to developing and solving complex tasks, they provide implementation estimates. They take high ownership in production issues that arise and actively work to a timely resolution. They may also be involved with architecture decisions for the deployment framework and perform code reviews.
This role reports to an Engineering Manager.
\n- Investigate and troubleshoot issues across our platform
- Analyze, develop and enhance automation deployments
- Write scripts to automate complex tasks
- Lead from an engineering perspective in sprint meetings, helping estimate stories, raise awareness regarding implementation details
- Monitor an APM (e.g DataDog) in production and raise awareness to team
- Control application log collection and analysis
- Control application and instance alerts as it relates to site reliability
- Ability to lead discussions in infrastructure architecture and actively contribute to technical discussions with focus on reliability
- Maintain, evaluate and upgrade platform platform base infrastructure
- Lead application code deployment methods
- Mentor and assist engineers
- Demonstrates ownership for automation across team
- High ownership in resolving production issues
- Perform code reviews
- Identify and come up with strategies to resolve technical debt
- Ensure infrastructure scalability
- Create user stories to resolve production issues, technical debt and opportunities for improvement

- 4+ years in DevOps, System, or Software Engineering
- Strong experience running production applications workloads inCloud (AWS)
- Understanding of public Cloud networks, VPC peering, etc
- 3+ years utilizing Cloud computing (EC2, SNS/SQS, RDS)
- Containers and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes, ECS)
- Experience administrating technologies at scale such as ElasticSearch, Postgres and Redis
- Familiarity with monitoring tools like Data Dog, AWS, etc.
- Experiencing managing and automating Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) using GitLab, CircleCI, TeamCity, Jenkins or similar
- Provisioning and configuration management (Terraform)
- Linux or Window server administration
- Strong desire to influence the direction of Cleo’s DevOps practices
- Familiarity with scripting language such as Python, JS or TS
- Experience integrating 3rd party tooling (container scanning, static and dynamic analysis) into the pipeline
- Ability to weave monitoring, logging, and alerting into everything you build
- Quality and security conscious when implementing solutions
- Ability to debug complicated issues in collaboration with peers
- Experience working within and upholding compliance with HIPAA and other standards (SOC2 and HITRUST)

Pay Transparency:
The base salary range for this position is $165,000 - $180,000 annually. In addition to salary, Cleo offers the following benefits: health insurance (medical, dental, and vision), 15 paid holidays, 5-day winter break, flexible vacation time, sick time, 16 weeks paid parental leave, 401(k) plan, disability insurance, life insurance, wellness perks, and more.
