Position Summary


We are seeking motivated and enthusiastic New Grad Associates and New Grad Engineers to join the team at Coalfire!  In this entry-level role, you will gain hands-on technical experience in cybersecurity, while contributing to real-world projects and making an impact. This is an excellent opportunity for recent graduates with a passion for cloud computing and a desire to develop their skills in a dynamic environment.


Depending on your preference and location in proximity to one of our offices, this role can be a remote, hybrid, or in office position.


We are targeting students graduating between December 2024 and June 2025.


We are looking for passionate professionals with the academic and practical experience, along with the drive, acumen, and aptitude, to support our team in the following areas:


·   Cloud Services and Engineering

·   Compliance Advisory

·   Compliance Assessment (PCI, SOC, ISO, FedRAMP, HITRUST) 

·   Cyber Security Services

What You'll Do
  • Cloud Services and Engineering
  • Become a member of a highly-collaborative engineering team offering a unique blend of Cloud Infrastructure Administration, Site Reliability Engineering, Security Operations, and Vulnerability Management.
  • Coordinate with Client product teams, engineering team members, and other stakeholders to monitor and maintain a secure and resilient cloud-hosted infrastructure to established SLAs in both production and non-production environments.
  • Work across AWS, Azure and GCP, understanding, utilizing, and troubleshooting their unique native services in Client environments.
  • Configure and tune cloud-based tools, manage cost, security, and compliance for the Client’s environments.
  • Engage in development of client cloud and security strategies, vision-state architectures, roadmap, and planning activities

  • Compliance Advisory
  • Work closely as a team to prepare customers for compliance assessments via participation in gap analyses, understanding the client’s security architecture, and preparing documentation describing their environment and security control implementation.
  • Collaborate with members of the team, conduct research, and actively participate in client engagements to develop their understanding of framework requirements, perform security evaluations and/or consulting, and develop reports.
  • Take charge of identifying information sources, gathering and interpreting data, and ensuring diligent and accurate data and note capturing of customer interviews.
  • Build professional and meaningful relationships while managing customer expectations and deliverables.
  • Provide advice to the client on various matters and effectively request or communicate technical requirements to a non-technical audience.

  • Compliance Assessment (PCI, SOC, ISO, FedRAMP, HITRUST) 
  • Work as part of a team assessing the security and compliance of client firms against regulatory and industry requirements and standards, and against security best practice frameworks.
  • Facilitate security assessments and possibly other advanced-level Continuous Monitoring Activities within cloud-based environments.
  • Execute, examine, interview, and test procedures in accordance with the proper control or compliance system.
  • Proactively drafts and documents audit planning and reporting material for peer review at appropriate milestones throughout the engagement lifecycle.
  • Provide advice to the client on various matters related to the assessment/audit and effectively requests or communicates technical requirements to a non-technical audience.

  • Cyber Security Services
  • Conduct network, web, mobile application penetration testing, code reviews, social engineering, red team engagements, and physical security assessments.
  • Conduct security assessments on a wide variety of technologies and implementations.
  • Advise clients on technical security or compliance activities.
  • Collaborate with project managers, quality management, sales and other delivery team members to drive customer satisfaction and meet project deliverables.
  • Contribute to the Coalfire Cyber Security Services Penetration Testing Team overall success by helping the team to meet various business objectives and metrics.

$53,000 - $92,000 a year
The salary range listed is a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role based on national salary averages. The actual salary offer to the successful candidate will be based on job-related education, geographic location, training, licensure and certifications and other factors. You may also be eligible to participate in annual incentive, commission, and/or recognition programs.
