We are looking for an exceptionally skilled and experienced Principal to join our team. You will lead our efforts to defend against and mitigate security threats to our systems, ensuring the resilience and confidentiality of our data and infrastructure. Your role will be pivotal in shaping our defensive security strategy and ensuring that our products and services adhere to rigorous security and compliance standards. This position will serve as both an individual contributor and a recognized leader in the cybersecurity industry.

What You'll Do
  • Provide technical expertise in defensive cybersecurity strategies, focused on the identification and mitigation of security threats.
  • Implement defensive strategies, including proactive security assessments, threat simulations, and incident response exercises.
  • Conduct thorough security assessments of systems and applications, prioritizing risks and recommending effective mitigation measures.
  • Conduct defensive security assessments across network, web applications, mobile applications, and cloud infrastructure.
  • Operate defensive tools and scripts to automate and enhance security monitoring and incident response capabilities.
  • Collaborate with development teams to integrate security practices into the software development lifecycle (SDLC), focusing on threat modeling, secure coding, and continuous security improvement.
  • Stay abreast of emerging cybersecurity threats and trends, proposing enhancements to bolster the security defenses of our customers.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor on defensive cybersecurity matters, offering strategic insights and recommendations.
  • Mentor and guide junior security professionals, fostering a culture of vigilance and proactive security awareness within the organization


What You'll Bring
  • 8+ years of experience in information security, with a focus on security operations, defensive strategies, and incident response.
  • Comprehensive technical proficiency in defensive cybersecurity tools and practices.
  • Extensive experience in managing and mitigating security incidents across diverse platforms, encompassing on-premises, cloud, and hybrid environments.
  • Strong understanding of security principles, protocols, and standards, including OWASP, NIST, and ISO/IEC 27001.
  • Practical knowledge of secure architecture, threat analysis, and security assessment methodologies.
  • Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CEH, OSCP, or GIAC or equivalent experience.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Proven ltechnical skills, with experience with threat intelligence, threat hunting, security assessments and defensive strategies to help customers achieve security goals and objectives.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, and adapt quickly to changing priorities and requirements.

$104,000 - $179,600 a year
The salary range listed is a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role based on national salary averages. The actual salary offer to the successful candidate will be based on job-related education, geographic location, training, licensure and certifications and other factors. You may also be eligible to participate in annual incentive, commission, and/or recognition programs.
