Position Overview:
The Regulatory Research Manager works to keep the regulatory team and the Colibri ecosystems well informed of all current, recently enacted, pending and proposed state, local, and federal regulations and standards and commission/board policy that apply to, or could potentially apply to, the various products and services offered by Colibri. This role collaborates with the regulatory verticals on various research projects and works closely with the business units as an information source and strategic partner identifying related changes across the regulatory landscape. The candidate for this position is expected to routinely interact with regulatory bodies and attend applicable board/commission virtual meetings as necessary to monitor the regulatory landscape.
\n- Conduct in-depth research on a wide range of regulatory topics and areas presented by stakeholders ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements and company objectives.
- Research, analyze and summarize research sources such as statutes, rules, regulations, bills administrative codes, and regulatory information relevant to business areas and various products and services offered by Colibri.
- Maintain a repository of reference materials, resources, files, and research outcomes, results and worksheets for future reference
- Collaborate effectively with legal, product, curriculum and marketing teams to support their regulatory research needs.
- Implement and maintain a library of research reference materials for legal, marketing, product and curriculum teams establishing regulatory guidelines to ensure a cohesive, compliant and competitive approach to product offerings and marketing materials.
- Maintain a deep understanding of new and existing federal and state regulations that may impact Colibri’s products, services, courses and processes for all ecosystems.
- Monitoring, collecting and analyzing bills, legislation and other governmental and departmental actions that have the potential to impact Colibri’s products, services, courses and processes for all ecosystems.
- Managing and executing a robust monthly report of pending bill and legislation impacting growth in collaboration with the regulatory verticals that can be easily digested by stakeholders.
- Monitoring and attending State Board/Commission virtual meetings where regulatory changes are being proposed.
- Explaining regulations, procedures, and policies to stakeholders as necessary.
- Minimum Education: Bachelor's degree.
- Strong legal/regulatory research skills with experience using StateNet and other legal research tools
- Ability to interpret, analyze, organize, and express complex legal/regulatory material quickly and accurately
- Ability to effectively handle and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously in a quickly changing environment
- Ability to work independently, consistently meet deadlines, and achieve individual objectives within larger team projects
- Understanding use of keywords to optimize search results.
- Exemplary organization skills and attention to detail.
- Interpersonal and diplomatic skills for communicating tactfully with all levels of staff; diverse individuals and regulatory agencies.
- Experience with office management communication software/tools (e.g., SharePoint; Microsoft Teams, Excel).
