We are seeking a Head of Engineering who will be responsible for leading application development, enhancing product features and scaling an engineering organization focused on delivering a highly available, scalable, secure application and network.
\n- Oversee Front and Back End Engineering, Data Engineering, and Infrastructure teams, fostering a collaborative engineering culture
- Recruit, hire and manage high performing teams
- Design and build systems for scale, quality and security
- Budget management
- Collaborate with Product on roadmap
- Keep up to date on latest technology trends
- Providing technical guidance to team leads related to architecture and design
- Prepared to do some hands-on coding work as needed
- Managing, mentoring and communicating business and performance objectives to a large team
- Strong communication skills and ability to interact with our business, product, and development teams
- Working well with time sensitive delivery deadlines
- Team player mentality and a sense of pride and ownership for your quality of work
- Progressive engineering management and experience with enterprise/analytical software development
- Knowledge and experience with AI/ML systems
- Experience with agile development methodologies with Test Driven Development (TDD) and Continuous Delivery (CD)
- Mastery of modern web programming standards and best practices: experience architecting and designing complex systems across a wide range of technical disciplines
- Experience with and knowledge of React, Angular, NodeJS, and Python
- Passion for delivering and scaling highly-available business critical systems and a strong understanding of the core tenets and practices of microservices architecture
- 3rd party integrations experience: API-based integrations, data pipelines and transformations systems
- Experience with Snowflake is a plus and so is experience with graph database (such as Neo4j)
- Experience with implementation of distributed computing systems and architecture for large scale data systems
- Familiarity with cloud computing infrastructure (e.g.AWS, GCP) and considerations for scalable, distributed systems
