Successful candidates must be self-motivated, with outstanding work ethic, excellent written abilities, and a solid communication foundation when interacting with IT Managers, VP’s, and C level executives. Candidates with current Cisco certifications including CCNA, CCNP, CCIE, etc. will be considered.
Candidates must be willing to go onsite to clients between Madison, Appleton, and Green Bay. Only local candidates will be considered.

- Work with other consultants and project managers to design and execute the technical implementation of LAN/WAN solutions based on client requirements and design specifications
- Recommend a solution that aligns with the customer’s business needs and requirements (discuss benefits and risks), conduct envisioning sessions
- Be able to articulate pros & cons of the architecture decision across a wide spectrum of factors
- Developing and maintaining relationships with key technical contacts within the customer accounts and becoming a trusted advisor to these individuals Work together with a department project manager to successfully execute a project
- Provide configuration recommendations and assistance to other solution deployment team members
- Perform project-based engineering, design, installation and troubleshooting of data/security networks
- Collaboration with the engineering team to successfully implement secure network solutions
- LAN routing and switching configuration and deployment in medium to very large environments
- Provide network engineering consulting services, including: assessment, design, and implementation of data and secure networking environments
- Assist clients through planning, design, and implementation of secure data communications networks
- Develop comprehensive graphical and text-based design documentation and effectively manage the implementation process from design to customer acceptance
- Provide independent services and demonstrate leadership abilities in specialized technical areas
- Perform analysis and studies
- Perform test and acceptance phases
- Strive to continuously build knowledge and skills to be a recognized leader in multiple technologies
- Identify business opportunities while completing on-site projects, developing Project Change Request’s as needed
- Associate degree in a related field and/or a combination of education and professional experience (BS Degree preferred
- Ability to manage four or more projects simultaneously
- Knowledge and experience with design, implementation, and support of the following:
- Cisco products in one or more areas including, but not limited to: LAN, WAN, WLAN, Security, Data Center Networking
- Specific products/technologies: Catalyst, ISR routers, ASA, FirePower, ISE, Nexus, Wireless, UCS, SD-WAN, Palo Alto, AMP, Umbrella
- Ability to work remotely/home office
- Ability to travel to client sites
- Cisco CCNP Routing & Switching, Wireless, Security, etc.
- Detailed experience with overall network design and implementation within a Data Center or enterprise environment.
- Proficient in Network Routing Protocols EIGRP, OSPF, BGP, HSRP, etc.
- Proficient in Layer 2 Technologies VLANs, Port Trunking, EtherChannel, etc.
- Proficient in WAN Technologies MPLS, etc.
- Proficient in Cisco wireless technologies
- Experience providing post-project support
- Current CCNP certification or equivalent experience is a minimum requirement
- Solid and demonstrated communication skills (verbal and written)
- Additional expertise in Virtualization environments is desired

- The base salary for this position is typically $125,000 to $140,000. In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for discretionary bonus plan based on company and individual performance. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each candidate, including experience and location.
