As a part of the company that is growing and helping environmental, health & safety professionals be more efficient at their jobs, the Solutions Engineer Manager manages the team that collaborates with the sales team, solutions consulting team, product and professional services to help increase the win rate of sales. This role is responsible for coaching the team to present our platform to qualified prospects as part of the sales process. Solutions Engineers require both strong business and technical acumen to understand the needs of our client base and accurately position the Cority EHSQ&S solution. As part of the sales team, this role will be to coach the Solutions Engineering team on demonstrating how the software meets customer business problems by matching their stated needs to the tools available. As a subject matter expert in EHSQ&S, Solutions Engineers act as the trusted advisor during the sales process.
\n- Coach the Solutions Engineering team members to excel in their role.
- Plan resource needs, load balance and prioritize the team’s tasks.
- Help create win strategies specifically around demonstrations of the software.
- Monitor team metrics and client interactions, offering actionable feedback for continuous improvement, identify client needs during discovery sessions with new and existing clients.
- prepare targeted demonstration scripts, environments, and sales content.
- Give effective product demonstrations to potential clients for larger, more strategic deals.
- Oversee RFP/RFI responses, ensuring technical accuracy and alignment with client expectations. Work with our internal product team to steer feature and function development.
- Travel as required to deliver onsite demonstrations, attend trade shows, and other functions.
- Maintain strong knowledge base for product roadmaps and the effect new functionality could have for existing customers and new opportunities.
- Stay informed on evolving regulatory and industry trends, aligning Cority’s solutions to meet new requirements.
- Prior people management experience preferred but not required.
- 5+ years working as a Solutions Engineer with Saas software.
- EHSQ&S Industry experience is required.
- Prior experience with configuring software and an understanding of relational database management systems is required.
- Advanced computer skills: Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, CRM, WebEx, Gong, RFP tools (Responsive/Loopio)
- Must have an ability to work independently as well as on a team in a collaborative environment and have excellent understanding of strategic selling technique.
- Must possess strong time management skills and understand pipeline management.
- Possess excellent written, verbal communications and presentation skills in managing all aspects of the sales cycle with a polished executive presence.
- Multi-lingual is preferred.
- University education at bachelor’s level or higher. Additional education or professional designation would be an asset.
- Experience in Safety, Sustainability, and/or Environment either in a delivery, sales, or consulting role. Topics include incident management, management of change, risk assessments, ESG reporting, air emissions, water discharge monitoring, chemical management, and waste tracking.
- Must have Proven ability to deliver engaging, informative demonstrations tailored to diverse client needs.
