Description

The International Payroll & Benefits Specialist is responsible for administering payroll, benefit processes, and leave, for employees located in multiple countries. This role ensures accurate and timely payroll processing, compliance with local regulations, and administration of employee benefits programs on a global scale. As our International Payroll & Benefits Specialist, you will report to the International Payroll & Benefits Manager, and work with the International Assistant Controller and members of the broader Accounting and Finance team.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage end-to-end payroll processing for international employees, including data entry, validation, and reconciliation.
  • Ensure compliance with local tax regulations, labor laws, and statutory requirements in each country of operation.
  • Coordinate with external payroll vendors and internal stakeholders to resolve payroll discrepancies and issues.
  • Manage the absence records for international employees, ensuring compliance with policy and statutory requirements.
  • Administer employee benefit programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other perks, ensuring compliance with legal and company policies.
  • Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll, benefits, and related matters, providing timely and accurate information.
  • Prepare payroll-related reports, summaries, and analyses for management review and decision-making.
  • Collaborate with HR, Finance, and Legal teams to implement changes to payroll and benefits processes, policies, and systems.
  • Support the US payroll team with timesheet follow up and approvals.
  • Stay up-to-date on changes in payroll regulations, tax laws, and benefits trends across multiple countries.
  • Assist where needed with implementing process improvements and adoption of new systems.


Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in international payroll processing and benefits administration.
  • Proficiency in payroll software and systems, with a strong understanding of payroll best practices.
  • Proficiency in absence management, with a strong understanding of accruals and compliance.
  • Knowledge of international tax laws, regulations, and compliance requirements.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and reconciliation.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot payroll issues effectively.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel (ability to use VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, and other functions).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with employees, vendors, and stakeholders globally.
  • Ability to meet deadlines, work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality when required.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) or Certified Global Payroll Professional (CGPP) designation.
  • Experience with Workday, ADP, or other payroll and HRIS systems.
  • Proficiency in the English language.
