Your new role
The VP - Enterprise Market is a senior member of the Enterprise Segment leadership team and reports directly to the EVP - Enterprise Markets.

The role ensures the strategic vision for the Enterprise market at Digital Science is translated into actionable plans and delivered by the Segment’s cross-functional teams.
The role serves as the cornerstone of the Enterprise Segment’s growth initiatives and requires a detailed understanding of the competitive landscape, customer needs and the unique value propositions of Digital Science products and services.
The VP - Enterprise Markets works closely with the Segment’s cross-functional teams - including Sales, Marketing, Product, Technology and Customer Experience - to ensure all teams remain aligned and focused on delivering the agreed goals and objectives of the Enterprise Segment. By setting clear milestones, tracking progress and driving accountability, the VP Enterprise Markets plays a pivotal role in securing both short and long-term success for Digital Science within the Enterprise market.
The VP will be an internal facing role, while the EVP is external.

What you’ll be doing
Strategic Planning
- Support the EVP Enterprise Markets in the development and communication of a strategic vision and overarching business strategy for Digital Science in the Enterprise market
- Work closely with Segment leads and Digital Science functional teams to estimate required resources/costs for new strategic initiatives for Digital Science in the Enterprise market
- Conduct market research and analysis to create detailed proposals for new and emerging commercial opportunities for Digital Science in the Enterprise market
- Help identify and develop new external partnerships with third-party suppliers, vendors or collaborators in support of product growth and new initiatives for Digital Science in the Enterprise market
Strategy Execution
- Work with Digital Science functional leadership to ensure the needs of the Enterprise market are understood and appropriately resourced
- Monitor the implementation of strategic initiatives within the Enterprise market, ensuring initiatives (including Sales and Marketing activities) are on track and aligned with the Enterprise Segment’s strategic goals and financial targets
- Help align strategic marketing initiatives with the strategic priorities for Digital Science in the Enterprise market and monitor the implementation of these activities
- Work with cross-functional leads to develop new go-to-market strategies for Digital Science in the Enterprise market - including the definition of new or alternative revenue models for the Enterprise market
- Work with the Enterprise Segment’s Sales and Marketing leaders (titles TBC) to set list prices for Digital Science products and services for the Enterprise market
- Conduct regular reviews of functional performance. Review data pertaining to the activities of each function and prepare reports for Segment and Digital Science leadership
- Regularly review customer feedback and product adoption data using key metrics to ensure the delivery of solutions to the Enterprise market meet or exceed expectations.
- Help set clear targets, evaluate progress and prepare reports for Segment and Digital Science leadership
- When required, act as a key point of contact within Digital Science for the Enterprise Market, make pricing and contractual decisions on behalf of the EVP - Enterprise Markets which comply with the Segments agreed targets/budgets. Work with Digital Science functional teams, including Legal, Business Operations and Revenue Operations to ensure decisions are accurately recorded and applied.
Financial Budgeting
- Assist the EVP- Enterprise with the preparation and delivery of financial forecasts for the Enterprise Segment: including revenue forecasts, direct and indirect cost forecasts and the development of future business cases in partnership with other Segment leaders
- Work closely with the Segment’s Finance Business Partner(s) to ensure financial data are accurate and correct at the time of publication/use
- Work with other Segment Leadership and Digital Science Finance staff to ensure the accurate allocation of staff and other non-staff costs to the Enterprise Segment - ensuring that teams are adequately staffed and equipped to achieve agreed goals
Segment Governance
- Work with the EVP-Enterprise to form and oversee a high-performing Enterprise Segment management team, including regular planning and reporting of day-to-day activities and Segment priorities
- Work with other Segment VPs and EVPs to guarantee strong alignment of decisions and avoid contradictory behaviours
- Develop strong and trusted relationships with all internal stakeholders in support of the Enterprise Segment
Go-To-Market Oversight
- Develop and retain a deep understanding of Digital Science’s solutions for the Enterprise Segment and partner closely with other Segment Leaders to provide strategic and operational input to the activities of the Segment’s functions.
- Work closely with other functional and segment leads to understand new offerings and ensuring effective go-to-market planning
- Support the creation of business cases to better meet market needs by enhancing or combining existing solutions, and regularly review customer uptake and feedback to ensure the delivery of solutions to the Enterprise market meet or exceed expectations.
Leadership Support:
- Act as a sounding board and advisor to the EVP - Enterprise Markets, providing insights, honest feedback, and detailed recommendations on various issues.
- Assist in the preparation of materials for meetings, presentations, and reports prioritised in collaboration with the EVP - Enterprise Markets
- Work closely other Digital Science leadership to ensure alignment and support for segment-specific initiatives
- Act as a senior point of contact for all Enterprise Segment customers and functional staff working on the Enterprise Segment
- Support the development and training of team members within the segment, fostering a high-performance culture.
What you’ll bring to the role
- Excellent leadership, communication and people development skills, being able to act as a coach and mentor
- Strong business knowledge and experience interpreting trend data
- A proven track record in commercial or sales leadership roles in a high-growth technology company
- Experience in taking new products to market in a SaaS environment
- Experience in managing and developing budgets, setting pricing, and developing new pricing models
- Demonstrated working knowledge in Enterprise markets
- Experience working in collaboration with successful, cross-functional and remote-based teams where the team is more than the sum of its parts.
- Extensive experience as a Chief Commercial Officer or other relevant role in a similar high-growth environment
- A solid knowledge of performance reporting and financial/budgeting processes
- An ability to learn quickly and to adapt easily to new situations with a high level of practical problem-solving ability
- You have excellent organizational and leadership skills, and are able to navigate relationships to achieve progress, in a complex matrix organisation
- You’re an excellent communicator who can be equally comfortable speaking across multidimensional stakeholders internal and external and do this with a high level of gravitas
- You’re a strategic thinker, influencer, and motivator and are able to articulate your vision to take people on a journey with you
- You thrive in a high-pace, high change environment and can navigate ambiguity to drive the change needed to deliver the commercial strategy
- You can strategize and negotiate the best way forward and execute this in a clear and diplomatic way
