Supporting Media Analysis and Solutions: The IT Developer plays a crucial role in maintaining and optimizing web applications, as well as writing and optimizing Python code for data engineering. These activities directly contribute to the analysis of media investments and the development of solutions aimed at improving media performance, marketing effectiveness, and contract compliance.
Enhancing Data Management: With a focus on data engineering principles, the IT Developer assists in managing and optimizing large volumes of data, ensuring its accuracy, reliability, and accessibility. This is essential for providing clients with comprehensive insights into their media spend and contract value.
Facilitating Communication and Collaboration: The role involves regular communication with business stakeholders to understand software requirements and ensure alignment with company standards. Collaboration with other developers, testers, and stakeholders is essential for delivering high-quality products that meet client needs.
Technology Transition and Innovation: As part of the role, the IT Developer assists in transitioning to more updated technologies, reflecting the company's commitment to innovation and staying abreast of industry advancements. This may involve exploring new tools and platforms to enhance efficiency and effectiveness in media analysis and solutions.
Ensuring Compliance and Confidentiality: Given the nature of the industry and the sensitivity of the data involved, the IT Developer must exercise sound judgment, handle sensitive information with confidentiality, and ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
Key Responsibilities
· Maintain web applications using C# ASP.net webforms.
· Write and optimize python code for data engineering in Databricks notebooks.
· Communicate with business stakeholders to understand and refine software requirements.
· Communicate effectively with the team to understand architecture and company standards.
· Collaborate with other developers, testers, and stakeholders to deliver high-quality products.
· Work with SQL to create and modify stored procedures, tables, etc.
· Develop and maintain SSRS reports.
· Assist in transitioning to more updated technologies.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
· Preferred qualifications include a bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field. Equivalent practical experience will also be considered.
· At least 3 years of experience in IT development.
· Proficient in C# ASP.net webforms, python, and SQL programming languages.
· Proficient in using Azure DevOps with git for version control, work item creation and tracking, code review, and continuous integration / continuous deployment.
· Experience with Databricks, git, SSRS, and Microsoft Azure cloud platform.
· Strong knowledge of web development, data engineering, and software engineering principles.
· A polite, professional, customer-oriented communications style and manner
· Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); comfortable supporting business efforts to lean into AI for workflow efficiencies.
· Detail oriented, with strong organisational skills and an aptitude for forward planning, with an ability to prioritise, meet deadlines and to undertake a diverse range of tasks/projects at the same time.
· Willingness to work to accommodate international travel schedules and time zone differences.
· Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities, work independently with minimal supervision, and thrive in a fast-paced, remote work environment.
· The ability to exercise sound judgment, to handle sensitive information and to always maintain confidentiality.
· The ability to build successful working relationships across a diverse working culture, both with internal and external clients.
