Description
Under the direction of the Director of Provider Network Management, the Ancillary/Physician Provider Network Specialist I is responsible for establishing and maintaining medical provider and specialty provider relationships. The Ancillary/ Physician Provider Network Specialist I routinely interfaces with new and existing providers to secure direct contract agreements with EK Health.
Work Specifics: Standard, eight (8) hour workday, Monday-Friday 8am–5pm PST, Remote (Exempt or Non-Exempt based on location)
Primary job responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Recruit ancillary and individual physician providers by negotiating contract terms and rates to secure direct agreements with EK Health in targeted market areas as required by business needs
- Make/oversee targeted calls to providers
- Draft and review contract proposals and respond to contract requests
- Communicate with providers on a regular basis to answer any questions or concerns as well as to provide strong provider relations
- Perform analysis of the provider network to identify deficiencies in required specialties and/or geographies for existing/prospective customers
- Oversee ancillary and physician provider network development and maintenance
- Obtain and maintain required documentation from providers
- Collaborate the credentialing process as needed
- Meet productivity and performance standards on a continuous basis
- Other duties as assigned
Pay, Benefits & Perks
- Pay is $50,000- 52,500 annually based on experience, education and location

Requirements
- High School diploma required, AA in related field preferred
- Minimum two years’ experience in Managed Care or health-related field (experience with ancillary/ physician provider contracting preferred)
- Knowledge of general credentialing procedures
- Basiic medical terminology
- Workers’ compensation experience strongly recommended
- Provider relations experience a plus
- Must be computer literate with a high comfort level with computers and computer programs (MS Word, MS Excel, Email, and Internet)
- Strong written and oral communication skills
Physical Requirements:
Candidate must be able to sit the majority of an 8-hour day except for lunch and break times. Candidate must be able to keyboard the majority of an 8-hour day except for lunch and break times. Candidate must have manual dexterity. Candidate must be able to speak on the telephone intermittently throughout the day. Candidate must be able to read and write English fluently. Candidate must be able to provide and confirm safe home office environment. Home office must be HIPAA compliant.
