POSITION OVERVIEW:
The successful candidate will be enthusiastic and passionate about IT and Networking. Working as part of an expanding company, members of the Network Team will have opportunities to operate on their own initiative and be part of a team. They can expect to be developed to the maximum of their potential. The role involves explicitly working as a Network Engineer Tier III within a Network Engineering Team, supporting a large-scale enterprise network infrastructure for multiple customers. Hours: The typical range will be Monday to Friday, 9:00 am to 5:00 pm, with some out-of-hours work as required. Candidates will be expected to travel up to 75% of the time.
WHAT YOU’LL DO:
- Assist with various network projects across the business.
- Network refresh
- New technology deployments
- Wi-Fi design/troubleshooting
- SDWAN deployments
- Cisco DNAC deployments
- Updating existing network documentation
- Mentoring junior members of the team
- DC deployments / turn up’s
WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED
- 4+ years of experience with Layer 2 Switching protocols
- 4+ years of experience with Layer 3 Routing protocols
- Ability to configure and troubleshoot routing/switching technologies, including.
- TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, HSRP, VRRP in an enterprise-class environment.
- Strong Wi-Fi experience with troubleshooting and design
- Experience with SDN and SDWAN deployments would be advantageous.
- Experience with multiple networking vendors, including Cisco, HP, Aruba, Juniper,
- and Arista
- Ability to work outside regular working hours as needed by the client, including evenings and weekends.
- Familiar with generating Bills of Materials and turning designs into implementation.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
- Networking Certifications such as CCNP
- Experience with enterprise environments on a global scale
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multi-task
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proven organizational skills.
- Fluent in spoken and written English preferred.
