Job Description
The Performance Manager is a trusted advisor to Dealer and Agency clients and is an expert in automotive marketing, as well as the Experian Marketing Engine solution. This team member interacts daily with EME clients to help them use the tool to execute their marketing plans and programs, both short and long-range, to ensure profit growth and goal attainment. The Performance Manager partners with clients on marketing strategies, data analysis, and audience creation, and serves as the first point of contact for questions, issues, and high-priority requests. We are seeking a knowledgeable, experienced digital marketing/data analyst that both internal and external clients trust and enjoy working with.
The ideal candidate has practical experience, comprehensive understanding, and a strong working knowledge of how an automotive dealership runs day to day. The candidate continually strives to meet or exceed expectations in all aspects of the role, from servicing our partners to proactively contributing and collaborating with the internal teams.
What you will be doing
- Onboard new clients successfully, completing product training and ensuring they are comfortable and excited about moving forward with Experian and EME.
- Deliver ongoing training and provide consultation as needed.
- Bring best practice knowledge of the product into the client organization to support the company’s value proposition and further the client’s goals.
- Collaborate with clients to determine the best way to use EME to achieve their performance targets. Document and execute the plan, then review the results, changing the approach as the environment and the client goals evolve.
- Complete monthly data review calls with customers to review analytics, performance, insights, and strategy.
- Responsible for day-to-day dealer relationship management and service.
- Champion the adoption and ongoing use of the EME product.
- Identify trends at the macro and micro level, using these insights in a way that may inform client decisions.
- Measure, monitor, and review clients’ near and long-term goals.
- Bring product enhancement ideas and operational efficiency opportunities forward to internal teams.
Qualifications
What your background looks like
- Significant experience working with CRM tools. At ease with technology.
- Ability to think quickly on your feet and handle ambiguity.
- Communicate well both orally and in writing and demonstrate business and financial acumen in your daily work.
- Highly skilled in presenting audience-appropriate content via remote meetings.
- Comfortable presenting in front of large groups of high-level executives and decision makers.
- Ability to establish rapport and develop meaningful relationships with your clients.
- Negotiate effectively, finding the win-win solution to problems.
- Proactively solicit feedback, ask clarifying questions and resolve issues in a non-confrontational way.
- Ability to perform as part of a larger team and work independently to schedule and prioritize your work.
- Regularly assess your own performance and adapt your work to achieve better results.
- Believe in what you do and feel a vested interest the company’s success.
- Must be a highly organized, detail-oriented problem solver.
- Consultant minded. Ability to communicate and influence as a client advocate, making strategic suggestions based upon multi-point data.
- Knowledge of digital marketing best practices. SEO knowledge and familiarity with SEM management and research tools.
- Proven time management skills. Ability to handle conflicting priorities and juggle multiple tasks.
- Highly motivated and able to take initiative and learn. Demonstrated ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Outstanding presentation, written and oral skills, and passion for helping clients succeed.
Education/Experience Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field of study.
- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience working with digital marketing in Sales, Marketing, or Customer Service, in an Automotive retail or agency environment.
