You will report to the Client Organization and inform physicians, clinics, hospitals, and healthcare organizations about payer policy changes by written correspondence, review large data sets, summarize important points, and classify data into relevant categories and identify medical conditions and coding to ensure alerts are sent to the correct specialties.
You'll have opportunity to:
- Research updated health information and correlate it with relevant providers
- Classify information into Administrative, Clinical, Pharmaceutical, and Reimbursement categories
- Recognize various web page types (PDF, HTML) and functions (bookmarks)
- Create concise summaries of updated medical information
- Manage and maintain assigned Web Watcher applications, ensuring immediate alert creation (within 24-72 hours)
- Monitor and update bookmarks to identify "alert-worthy" information
- Perform maintenance on Web Watcher, resolving errors and updating bookmarks
- Identify and log newsletters, creating immediate alerts
- Ensure alerts are accurate, succinct, and sent to the correct specialties and categories
- Meet or exceed individual and team production goals
- Maintain a quality rating of 95% or better
Qualifications
Qualifications:
- 5+ healthcare revenue cycle experience within a hospital, healthcare system, medical office with expertise in authorizations, claims, billing is required
- 5+ years healthcare authorization, claims and billing experience is required
- 2+ years coding conventions experience (ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS) is required
- Understanding of various health insurance payers (Commercial Plans, Medicare, Medicare Advantage Plans, Medicaid, Medicaid Managed Care Organizations) is required
- Thorough knowledge, experience and application of medical terminology is required
