Job Description
Role Summary
Experian GL Accounting team is looking for an Expert Analyst for Revenue Recognition to meet our growing needs in Costa Rica. As an Expert, you will oversee ensuring completeness and accuracy of revenue monthly calculation and associated reporting, while being an important part of the month end/ quarter end/ year end closes and an important point for audit support. You will also guide the agreement of contracts and periodical reviews with important partners within GFS and Teams. You will report to the UK Revenue Supervisor.
Responsibilities
- Prepare monthly revenue calculations, ensuring accuracy through manual adjustments following contract terms.
- Update contract details, aligning them with monthly calculations and preparing associated journal entries for month-end close.
- Present monthly revenue calculations and comparisons to gain approval from revenue support and GL management.
- Be the subject matter expert on critical processes like C1 Templates, RDE Adoptions, and Reconciliations.
- Collaborate with department in finance teams to provide necessary data and support for their reporting activities.
- Guide process improvements and efficiencies, implement controls, and support both internal and external audits related to revenue recognition.
Qualifications

- 5+ years related work experience in a high-pace environment.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Business/Finance or Economics.
- Advanced English level.
- Understanding of revenue calculation process and Experience of IFRS, IFRS 15.
- Exposure to Experian Revenue Recognition processes for at least 2 years.
- Advanced Excel (can perform complex functions), Oracle and PowerPoint knowledge.
- Experience process improvements and desire to implement best practices.
