We are seeking a dynamic and self-driven Marketing Manager to lead our internal brand marketing efforts. This role will be pivotal in managing our primary communication channels, including Instagram, LinkedIn, and other community platforms, as well as overseeing PR, SEO, and event management. As the voice of our brand, you will work closely with the Chief Creative Officer (CCO) and a designer to craft, publish, and engage with content. Additionally, you will define and execute a content strategy that balances the need for ongoing engagement with periodic content refreshes across our digital presence, including our website. Your role will also involve project managing PR initiatives, partnering with an SEO expert to improve our .com rankings, supporting the marketing of internal and external events, and amplifying our thought leadership and award recognition efforts through our owned and paid channels.
This is a contract position from 8/26/2024-2/23/2025 at 40 hours/week. The chosen candidate will likely have the option to extend or convert to full-time.
\n- Social Media & Community Management: Manage our brand's presence on Instagram, LinkedIn, and other community channels by developing and implementing an "always on" content strategy. Collaborate with the CCO and design team to create and publish engaging content that aligns with brand values, while ensuring timely updates and content refreshes on the website.
- Content Strategy & Writing: Refine and optimize content strategy by focusing on what works across social media, website, and internal channels. Craft compelling, on-brand messaging, and develop an editorial calendar that aligns with business goals and audience needs.
- Paid Campaign Management: Partner with the business development team to manage and optimize paid LinkedIn campaigns focused on driving inbound leads. Strategize and execute paid social media campaigns, ensuring alignment with the broader marketing objectives.
- Reporting & Analysis: Provide quarterly reports on social media performance, content effectiveness, and paid campaign outcomes to the CCO and Growth teams. Use data and analytics to continuously refine content strategies, driving improved engagement and lead generation.
- Collaboration & Cross-Functional Partnership: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including design, and growth, to ensure marketing efforts are aligned with the overall business needs. Engage with community members and industry influencers to boost brand visibility and foster meaningful relationships.
- PR Management: Act as the point of contact for our Network Chief Communications Officer. Manage the end-to-end project management for PR requests, including stakeholder feedback, and ensure timely delivery of requested items. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to craft and socialize content to PR, ensuring alignment with broader brand strategies.
- SEO & Website Optimization: Partner with an SEO expert to revamp our .com rankings, monitor performance, and push forward actionable recommendations. Ensure that SEO best practices are integrated into all digital content and that the website is optimized for search engines.
- Event Management: Serve as the central point of contact for both internal and external events. Promote internal events held at our PDX HQ across internal and external channels. Work with the Growth team to support external events, ensuring promotion and communication through our channels. Work with event attendees to draft thought leadership pieces as needed to support event-related content and partner with the network to amplify these through PR channels.
- Thought Leadership: Proactively identify opportunities for thought leadership. Guide the process with stakeholders to develop and deliver both short-form and long-form content across our channels. Focus on driving brand awareness and generating leads through strategic thought leadership initiatives.
- Award Recognition: Amplify award recognition through our communication channels. Support the narratives and submissions for awards if identified as strategic priorities.
- Content Strategy & Development: Strong ability to develop and execute a comprehensive content strategy across multiple channels, ensuring consistency in voice and messaging.
- Writing & Editing: Exceptional writing and editing skills, with a keen eye for detail and a deep understanding of brand tone and audience engagement.
- Social Media Management: Expertise in managing and growing social media channels, particularly Instagram and LinkedIn, with a proven track record of driving engagement and community building.
- Paid Social Media Campaigns: Experience in managing paid social campaigns, with a focus on LinkedIn, to drive measurable business results.
- Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze performance data and translate insights into actionable strategies to optimize content and campaigns.
- Autonomous Work Ethic: Self-motivated and capable of working independently, with a strong ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
- The expected pay range for this role is $65-$84 per hour (on a 1099), but will depend on the level in which you are engaged
- Our company has three regional pay bands that it adheres to depending on your location, we reference them as US 1, US 2, and US 3.
- US 3 is our base pay. Examples of cities in US 3 are Portland, Houston and Miami.
- US 2 pay is 7.5% higher than US 3 to meet the market rates. Examples of cities in US 2 are Los Angeles, Chicago and Seattle.
- US 1 pay is 15% higher than US 3 to meet market rates. Examples of cities in US 1 are Brooklyn and San Francisco.
