The Opportunity
Flock is looking for a Product Analyst to join our Product and Growth team. After becoming the industry leader in LPR, Flock has launched a suite of interconnected hardware and software products that will provide Law Enforcement with the tools to eliminate crime. The Product Analytics team helps us understand the performance of these new products, answer strategic questions using data, and build data-driven tools for our customers.
This role works closely with our Product team to provide insights about our products and plays a key role in our customer facing analytics. This role will also work closely with cross functional teams in business intelligence, finance, operations, and customer success to tell a comprehensive data story of our products. Successful candidates will have strong research and analytical skills with an interest in product development.
The Skillset
1-2+ years experience in a data analytics role that involves writing SQL queries and using data visualization tools
Product-specific experience, particularly in startups or high-growth technology companies, is preferred
Team player, willing to play the supporting role and build relationships across the organization
Strong analytical skills with the ability to support decisions with data
Working understanding of financial models and business case development
Nice to haves
Experience in particular with Amazon Redshift, Sigma Computing, Twilio Segment and one of Amplitude, Mixpanel, Heap, or Pendo
Experience performing ad hoc data analysis with Python or R

Learn our customer-facing analytics stack
Implement a new feature in an embedded analytics dashboard
Join the team meetings surrounding this project
Implement new tracking for our product managers’ data needs end-to-end in partnership with engineering
Contribute to the demo by identifying and implementing an improvement based on user data
90 Days & Beyond
You are regularly contributing to early-stage embedded analytics products
You have a strong working relationship with our emerging software product manager, growth product manager, and real time software product manager regarding their data needs.
You are a key part of the demo-as-a-product working team
The Interview Process

Our First Chat: During this first conversation, you’ll meet with a recruiter to chat through your background, what you could bring to Flock, what you are looking for in your next role, and who we are.
The Hiring Manager Interview: You will meet with your potential future boss to really dive into the role, the team, expectations, and what success means at Flock. This is your chance to really nerd out with someone in your field.
The Peer Interview: Our peer interviews seek to assess your overall fit with the team. You will be given the opportunity to interview with a member of the team who will want to learn more about your background.
The Panel: Learn more about the team, responsibilities, and workflows. You should be prepared to speak about past projects, how you collaborate and communicate with others, and how you live our values. Depending on the team and role you are interviewing for, you may meet with several teammates as well as cross-functional partners.

💰Salary & Equity: In this role, you’ll receive a starting salary of $70,000-$100,000 as well as stock options
