We’re currently looking for an engaging, self-starting Regional Sales Manager who will be pivotal in growing our presence nationwide. You will be the driving force behind selling our first product, aimed at transforming the way police departments and community services engage each other.
HOW YOU WILL HAVE IMPACT
We're seeking a self-starting, mission-driven Data Engineer to design, develop, monitor, and maintain a robust, scalable data platform to deliver powerful insights to internal and external stakeholders. The Data Engineer will build reliable pipelines to support data processing and analytics needs of other data and engineering team members.
In addition, as an early member of the ForceMetrics team, you'll have many opportunities to forge our best practices, technical decisions, and create areas of ownership for yourself. We are actively considering applicants that are fully remote.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Build a scalable and reliable data pipeline that collects, transforms, loads, and curates data from internal systems, ensuring high data quality
- Develop, customize, and configure self service tools to help our data consumers extract and analyze data from internal data store
- Drive the collection of new data and the refinement of existing data sources to continually improve data quality
- Evaluate new technologies and make recommendations for new metrics, techniques, and strategies to improve data engineering methods
- Work with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and build analytical solutions to achieve key business goals
WHAT YOU MUST HAVE
- 3+ years of experience in a Data Engineer or relevant role
- 3+ years of experience with SQL and other languages (e.g SQL, Python, etc.)
- Proficiency with Relational Databases (i.e Postgres, MySQL, Microsoft SQL, etc)
- Excellent data manipulation and reverse engineering skills
- Experience with data analysis and visualization tools such as Kibana, Tableau, or Power BI
- Experience with data warehouse technologies and relevant data modeling best practices
- Experience building data pipelines/ETL and familiarity with design principles
- Analytically rigorous with high attention to detail
- Self-starter, able to work independently with little direction
- Candidate must be a US Citizen or US Resident due to strict data privacy requirements
- Willing to undergo background checks in order to work with the highly sensitive data entrusted with us to positively impact the world.

Early stage tech startup experience
Passion for making a difference in the lives of many
Past exposure to law enforcement, public safety, or to similar data systems
Computer Science or Engineering degree from 4-year accredited university
Advanced Elasticsearch experience building search queries and aggregations
Experience with object-oriented design and software design patterns
Experience with backend like Django, Flask, CherryPy, Spring, or Spring Boot
Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, or CI/CD
Prior experience working on an Agile/Scrum team
