Join us! The GoFundMe team is searching for our next Lead Privacy Program Manager with strong expertise to help manage DSRs, cookies, ROPAs, privacy assessments, vendor management, and AI governance. The ideal candidate will bring experience from both B2C and B2B environments and will support the company's privacy compliance, including oversight of AI governance practices. This role requires collaboration with IT, product, engineering, legal, and procurement to ensure compliance with global data privacy laws and emerging AI regulations.
The Job…
- DSAR and Cookie Management: Lead automated and compliant processes for DSARs and cookie management. Plan and independently execute projects while collaborating with cross-functional teams to maintain compliance with GDPR, CCPA, and other relevant regulations.
- ROPA & Assessments: Own and maintain the company’s Records of Processing Activities (ROPA). Lead and manage Privacy Impact Assessments (PIAs/DPIAs) and Transfer Impact Assessments (TIAs) for new products and vendors, with inputs from privacy counsel and implement mitigation strategies.
- Vendor Management: Manage vendor privacy compliance processes to mitigate vendor-related privacy risks effectively.
- B2C/B2B Privacy Leadership: Apply extensive experience in both B2C and B2B privacy contexts to develop and execute tailored strategies that enhance function and client productivity. Regularly update leadership on project progress and collaborate with teams to ensure privacy-by-design principles are consistently applied.
- Collaboration & Communication: Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, providing regular updates to managers and key stakeholders on the status of projects and privacy compliance efforts. Offer specialized guidance to employees and clients regarding privacy concerns and requirements.
- Risk and Dependencies Management: Identify and assess risks and dependencies associated with executing privacy compliance initiatives, ensuring that deadlines are met and potential issues are addressed proactively.
- Internal Tools & Processes: Continuously improve and streamline the use of internal tools and implementation of processes to enhance team efficiency and effectiveness in managing privacy and compliance tasks.

- 6 to 8+ years of privacy program management experience with significant impact in B2C and B2B environments.
- Strong understanding of global data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA, CPRA) and AI governance.
- Demonstrated expertise in managing DSARs, ROPA, cookies, privacy assessments, and vendor relationships.
- Proficient in privacy management tools such as Transcend and DataGrail, and web tracking technologies (cookies, pixels).
- Strong decision-making and communication skills, with the ability to interact with employees and clients on specialized privacy topics.
- Privacy certifications (e.g., CIPP, CIPM) required.

The total annual salary for this full-time position is $140,500 - $190,000 + equity + benefits. As this is a remote position, the salary range was determined by role, level, and possible location across the US. Individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
