GrowthAssistant is looking for a Financial Controller for an e-commerce company in the US. The Financial Controller will support the end to end operations of the accounting department revolving around billing and accounts receivable.

Salary Range: up to Php100,000 per month
Note: Rate/Salary will depend on your current competencies matched to the position's job description and requirements based on the assessment results.

Must Haves:
- 4+ years of experience as a Certified Public Accountant
- 3+ years of experience working with Quickbooks, Xero or similar software
- Prior experience as the Controller/Lead for a finance team in start-up, hyper-growth or small organization (accountable + responsible)
- Proficiency with financial statement preparation and analysis
- Exposure to full financial close process and financial statement prep (IS, BS, CF)
Core Tasks:
- Ownership of full financial records, including day-to-day transactional reporting and financial close. Financial close will be conducted monthly, with additional procedures for quarterly and year-end close (including but not limited to: posting journal entries, reconciliation of account balances, and general ledger accounts for our clients, etc.)
- Conduct regular reconciliations of bank statements to ensure accuracy and identify discrepancies
Perform reconciliations of balance sheet accounts to maintain financial integrity - Conduct thorough reviews of financial statements to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards
- Supervise the bookkeeping operations, guaranteeing precise and punctual recording of financial transactions
- Keep financial records organized and current
- Responsible for the procedures for accounts payable and accounts receivable to guarantee prompt payments and smooth cash flow
- Collaborate with vendors and clients to resolve any inquiries related to billing or payments
- Ensure adherence to pertinent accounting standards, regulations, and optimal industry practices
Nice to Haves:
- Experience in e-commerce bookkeeping and accounting
- Experience with inventory-based businesses and US sales tax - HUGE plus!
