Job Description
The Senior Director of Talent Acquisition & Internal Marketplace will spearhead our global recruitment strategy, optimizing our talent acquisition processes to attract, engage, and retain top-tier talent. This role requires a visionary leader with a robust understanding of global talent markets, a proven track record in scaling high-performing teams, and the agility to adapt to the dynamic needs of a growing organization.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement a cohesive, global talent acquisition strategy that aligns with the company's growth objectives and cultural values. Lead the talent acquisition team in executing global recruitment initiatives that meet our high standards of excellence and diversity.
Executive Recruitment: Partner with external agencies and internal executives to ensure a smooth end to end process for candidates and hiring managers.
Team Management and Development: Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing talent acquisition team. Foster a culture of continuous improvement, collaboration, and innovation within the team.
Process Optimization: Evaluate and refine recruitment processes and tools to enhance efficiency, candidate experience, and quality of hires. Ensure successful transition to new recruitment platform. Implement best practices in recruitment technologies, social media, and employer branding strategies to attract high-caliber candidates.
Executive Communication Skills: Develop and deliver clear and clear communication on strategies to Executive Teams and key stakeholders. Prepare and present comprehensive reports and dashboard on TA metrics, trends and market insights. Drive change and transformation efforts, ensuring executive and stakeholder buy-in.
Stakeholder Engagement: Work closely with senior leadership and department heads to understand their hiring needs and challenges. Act as a strategic advisor, providing insights and recommendations to optimize staffing and succession planning.
Diversity and Inclusion: Champion diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives within the recruitment process. Ensure our hiring strategies attract a diverse pool of candidates, supporting the company’s commitment to building an inclusive workplace.
Data-Driven Decision Making: Leverage data and analytics to inform recruitment strategies, monitor performance, and identify areas for improvement. Report on key recruitment metrics to the executive team, highlighting successes, challenges, and opportunities, inclusive of funnel metrics.
Talent Branding: Develop and execute a comprehensive employer branding strategy that effectively communicates our value proposition to potential candidates, leverage recruitment campaigns to attract passive candidates who have critical industry specific skills and engages our current employees. Lead the creation of engaging content that showcases our culture, people, and career opportunities across various channels, including social media, career websites, and job boards. Partner closely with HR, Marketing, and Communications teams to ensure alignment of the employer brand with our corporate brand. Partner with business leaders to understand their hiring needs and develop targeted recruitment campaigns.
Internal Mobility: Design and oversee programs that promote reqs to internal employees ensuring these opportunities are accessible and promoted across the organization.
Global Talent Sourcing: Develop and implement strategies for sourcing global talent, taking into consideration the complexities of different regions, including compliance, cultural nuances, and competitive landscapes.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field. Advanced degree or professional certifications (e.g., SPHR, SHRM-SCP) preferred.
10+ years of progressive experience in Talent Acquisition, with at least 5 years in a leadership role within a global and/or rapidly growing organization.
Demonstrated ability to design and implement full-cycle recruitment strategies on a global scale.
Proven track record of taking talent branding and internal mobility to the next level.
Strong leadership and team-building skills, with a track record of mentoring and developing high-performing teams.
Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, capable of persuasively articulating complex ideas to a variety of audiences.
Proficiency in using Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS), Workday, and recruitment analytics tools.
Additional Information
Hybrid Work Model: At Guardant Health, we have defined days for in-person/onsite collaboration and work-from-home days for individual-focused time. All U.S. employees who live within 50 miles of a Guardant facility will be required to be onsite on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays. We have found aligning our scheduled in-office days allows our teams to do the best work and creates the focused thinking time our innovative work requires. At Guardant, our work model has created flexibility for better work-life balance while keeping teams connected to advance our science for our patients.
For positions based in Palo Alto, CA or Redwood City, CA, the base salary range for this full-time position is $228,800 to $308,900. The range does not include benefits, and if applicable, bonus, commission, or equity.
Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including, but not limited to, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. If you are selected to move forward, the recruiting team will provide details specific to the factors above.
Employee may be required to lift routine office supplies and use office equipment. Majority of the work is performed in a desk/office environment; however, there may be exposure to high noise levels, fumes, and biohazard material in the laboratory environment. Ability to sit for extended periods of time.
