Position Summary
This is a dynamic role that involves the planning, oversight, support, and active management of IT services to support our digital-first workplace and globally dispersed teams. The primary focus of this role is to automate existing manual processes, driving efficiency and improving the overall IT service delivery.
The IT Engineer will primarily operate as a US West Coast resource, providing advanced support and resolving tickets in this region. Additionally, you will collaborate closely with the EMEA team on strategic projects, ensuring seamless IT operations across time zones. A core responsibility will be building and improving IT infrastructure with a strong focus on security, working in partnership with the Information Security (IS) team to achieve shared objectives.
This role is located remote in the United States (ideally, in PT or MT timezone) and reports to our Senior Manager, IT Engineering.
What You Will Do
SaaS Application Management: Oversee provisioning, access management, and on/off-boarding processes for our SaaS services.
IT Support and Administration: Provide comprehensive support for critical IT cloud-based tools, including Google Workspace, Okta, Slack, monday.com, Lumos, AWS and other leading SaaS applications.
Onboarding and Offboarding: Help with onboarding and offboarding to ensure a first-class employee experience.
Process Automation and Improvement: Continuously enhance efficiency by automating IT processes and creating run books and playbooks.
Hardware Asset Management: Manage procurement, device management (Apple) and depreciation of hardware assets.
Software Asset Management: Oversee the lifecycle of software/application assets from procurement to license assignment & reclamation, and create and maintain an Access Control Matrix to provision software based on least privilege access.
Security Support: Stay updated with 0-day security issues and CVEs and promptly remediate them.
Off-Hour Support: Play a vital role in managing IT incidents as part of our IT on-call rotation. You'll also help develop clear response processes for various types of incidents and playbooks for various alerts generated by our tools.
Collaboration and Training: Work closely with other IT team members, departments, and external vendors. Provide training and support to end-users as needed.
Solution Design and Implementation: Design and deploy new IT solutions ensuring systems are scalable, secure, and aligned with organizational needs.
Minimum Qualifications
4+ years as an IT Engineer or similar role.
Experience working in a customer or end-user centric position.
Positive attitude and enthusiasm for developing new processes and policies.
Process oriented with an understanding of ITIL and of IT general controls within a public company.
Experience working with various SSO protocols (SAML, OIDC, SCIM) and using them in enterprise-grade solutions like Okta.
Experience of developing application integrations and automations in Workato or similar.
Experience configuring, troubleshooting and managing communications and collaboration tools, including Slack, Google Workspace, Monday, and Zoom.
Working knowledge of Kandji or other MDM production environments with 500+ endpoints.
Ability to work autonomously in a fully distributed environment including support for employee onboarding, employee offboarding, and asset management.
Aptitude for learning new technologies.
Must be based remotely in the US or Canada. HackerOne is a digital-first company. This model offers our employees flexibility in time and location. All employees must be able to work and excel in a remote environment.
Willingness and ability to participate in an on-call rotation to respond to critical incidents as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
Apple Certified IT Professional.
Okta certifications.
