About the Role
As the IT System Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for leading an innovative team of skilled IT System Engineers and developing a strategic roadmap prioritizing compliance and optimization. You will coordinate across project teams to support access management, application installation/configuration and maintenance of hardware and software supporting the Houzz IT infrastructure. You will also enforce and monitor the security posture of our systems and devices while making proactive improvements to avoid risk in the future. We are looking for a Manager that will lead a successful team while also being hands-on keyboards for many critical projects. \n- Manage a team of IT System Engineers to drive compliance and efficiency optimization
- Own sprint planning and roadmap efforts for the IT Systems Engineering team
- Lead IT and security efforts including deployment of endpoint security and vulnerability management solutions
- Provide support for all sales and engineering systems including day-to-day operations, monitoring, problem solving and efficiency optimization
- Manage Jamf and Meraki MDM solutions for all devices
- Provide second level problem identification, diagnosis and resolution for IT Support team
- Ensure all workstation security policies are in accordance with current PCI compliance standards
- Create and maintain technical knowledge base documents
- Develop and manage innovative solutions to drive efficiency for cross-functional programs
- Identify potential areas of risk within IT infrastructure and develop solutions to bridge gaps
- Monitor the performance of the company's desktop infrastructure and make suggestions for improving efficiency
- 3+ years of management experience leading an IT System Engineering team
- 5+ years of experience as a dedicated system engineer
- Administer and develop end-to-end enterprise applications for all corporate systems including Google Workspace, Okta, Tableau, EXSi Server Maintenance/Management and Crowdstrike
- Adhere to PCI Compliance, Apple DEP, VPP, JDS, and imaging
- Entry-level scripting (Bash, Shell) would be a plus
- Security/Vulnerability management
- Jamf and Intune management
- Proven track record of project management success
- Ability to work with limited resources, tight deadlines and urgency
- Excellent technical, verbal, and written skills, plus the ability to professionally present technical solutions to leadership
- SOX compliance experience
- Hands-on experience supporting AWS
- System certifications including Okta and Jamf
Compensation, Benefits and Perks
This role has an annual starting salary range of $120,000 - $140,000. In addition to salary, you’re eligible for competitive benefits that support you and your family as part of your total rewards package at Houzz. Also, depending on the role, you could be eligible for an equity award. Actual compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors, including, but not limited to, skills, experience, and specific work location.
